EAGER OBEDIENCE
Wednesday – March 25, 2020, Adar 29, 5780

Greeting to our dear friends and partners, precious saints, sons and daughters of the only living God. Welcome back to this wonderful and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and to expand the reach of these teachings. The picture today is courtesy of our granddaughter at Little Moments Photography. What road are you on, what road am I on? Where is that road leading? Are we in the center (God’s will), are we hugging one side or the other, are we heading towards the ditch, or perhaps we are in one ditch or another?
Today is a significant day on the Hebrew calendar. At six pm today is the beginning of the first day of Nisan, the first month of the Biblical (not civil) New Year. The four spring Feasts of the Lord (appointed times forever) start on the 14th of Nisan with Passover and conclude with Pentecost on the 5th of Sivan (third Biblical month). There are fifty intervening days and seven Sabbaths. Just think on the numerology.
Remember there is a Conference arm of this Ministry so ladies be reminded to get your flyer and register for the Women’s Conference coming up on the 30th of May at New Beginnings Church of God in Waterville, Maine. This is not a Church of God only function but is open to all ladies, all denominations, and all independent Churches. Registration is $25.00 with lunch provided. We are always ready to receive financial partners to this ministry whether it be general support or specific to the Sabbatical Moments arm (ministry to discouraged Pastors and spouses) or the Conference arm. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud.
John 15:10-14 (KJV)
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Sometimes we have to just stand in awe of how great and how good our God is to us all. Just having a Bible is huge by itself. Just think most all the people we read about and admire in the Bible and even look to emulate did not have what we have today. What in the world is our excuse? Let me help, we really don’t have one. Let’s not be like Eve and blame the devil although he plays a big role nor be like Adam and blame our wife or someone else. God is just and we all have equal opportunity before Him and we alone determine the course of our lives now and in eternity.
Let each one of us determine in our own heart that we are going to do the Word of God, the commandments of God whether we understand the why and whether it be convenient or not. We must determine that we are willing whether we feel willing or not and that we will be obedient convenient or not. We may have to profess our willingness by faith but as we do our heart will change and we will be willing and will do with a new found enthusiasm. Obedience without a willing heart (eager to do it) will not bear fruit. Look back at verse ten of our primary text. Abiding “in his love” has to do with Him performing the Word of God in our lives. Are you in need of financial increase to be a good witness and do all that God would have you do in the Kingdom? If it is not manifesting, we must talk to the Lord about it. This applies to all other promises in Scripture which we are praying about and are not manifest. Remember the following Scripture.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
You may have heard this foolish, ignorant, doctrine of devils that has been adopted by the Church that you just never know with God, His ways are higher than ours, and sometimes He just says “no” for reasons beyond our understanding. If it is in the Word of God and is for the Church the answer is always yes and so be it. God is not picking winners and losers, only we ourselves determine whether we win or lose in any given area. Of course, the devil works day and night to keep us ignorant and unfortunately the Church works hand in glove with him many times. Healing was provided for our bodies at Calvary but we observe many sick and dying Christians. That is not God’s choice, His will, but the result of our own decisions. That may seem a little hard but until we get back in the game realizing we have a responsibility; it is not all in God’s court, we will perish and be a horrible witness of the goodness of our God. Meditate on the following and Lord willing I will pick up here tomorrow.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
