JESUS KNOWING ALL THINGS

Greetings dear and precious saints of the only living God and welcome back to this engaging Bible Study of the Book of John. Before proceeding please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible. God is so good, we must tell the good, good news. Please join us tonight on Zoom for the Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6 pm eastern time. We have had a powerful time since we started on the 7th of October. If you need the meeting id and pass code please message me. Yesterday was election day here in the United States. Thank you Lord that President Trump and Vice President Pence will be in office another four years. I pray that you voted Biblically to fulfill your civic responsibility to government and your spiritual responsibility to God. Voting any other way is sin. Wish I could sugar coat it, but there it is. When we sin, repentance is the only way out of the coming judgment the devil will obtain. Remember, the Devil, the demons, comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Disobedience which is sin, looses the curse into our lives and blocks or hinders the blessing. It does not matter if it is a failure to vote, voting against God and His Word, or choosing to rebel against COVID-19 guidelines. When a person chooses to sin, first there is division or separation from God and then from anyone who maintains their walk with God. There is no such thing as agreeing to disagree with God. This is why many Church Pastors who rebelled have become sick, have died, and become a burden to their fellowman, thumbed their nose at the duly constituted authorities, and worst of all thumbing their nose at God not to mention being a terrible Christian witness. We are to be the standard in our communities not the irresponsible ones.
Now, let’s dive into our Bible lesson and start by reading our primary Bible text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 18:4-7 (KJV)
4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?
5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
Did Jesus know all things because He was operating as God in the earth, or did He know all things because He was totally submitted to the Father through the leadership of the Holy Spirit? The latter is the correct answer. Jesus shed all that made Him God when He entered the body in the womb of Mary.
Philippians 2:7-8 (NLT)
7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,
8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Awaiting Him in the womb of Mary was a body the Father prepared for Him. Jesus is called the last Adam. The Father prepared a body for the first Adam also (Genesis 2:7).
Hebrews 10:5 (KJV)
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Jesus was able to accomplish all including the Cross with the help of the “eternal Spirit”. We can accomplish all things assigned us by God with the help of the “eternal Spirit”, the Holy Spirit as well.
Hebrews 9:14 (KJV)
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Jesus knew all things coming upon Him by the gifts of the Spirit, the Word of God, and His talking (praying) to the Father. Notice in verse six that this whole band sent to take Jesus into custody are slain out in the presence of the Holy Spirit at the spoken Word of Jesus. Why did they fall out in the Spirit this night and we have not seen this previously in the Ministry of Jesus? This was done to show that Jesus was of His own will laying down His life at the Cross, it was not being taken from Him. He willingly laid down His life for us so that we could be the righteousness of God in Him and gain eternal life in His death (physical and spiritual). He was not taken by force as they supposed but went willingly. We have seen people in the Old Testament fall out (be slain) in the presence of God, for example with the dedication of the Temple. The Holy Spirit manages the release or manifestation of His presence dependent upon several things. The Holy Spirit is present within us 24/7 but most of the time we are not conscious of His presence. There is nothing impossible to the God, the Holy Spirit, yet His Power is not always on obvious display. He is always present within us and does not have to come from elsewhere or come down from somewhere. It is usually taught that when He said “I am” He (Jesus) was operating as the “I am” causing the men to fall but that is not the case at all. He was operating as a man; the Power of the Holy Spirit was released to show He was not being taken by force but was by His own will and that of the Father with the help of the eternal Spirit surrendering to the Cross and all that followed.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
