MANY JEWS BELIEVED

Greetings dear partners and friends of this Ministry and this blog and welcome back to this empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. It is only empowering if one chooses to receive, believe, and on purpose bring about a change in thought, speech, and action. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and make a deep dive into the Truth.
John 12:8-11 (KJV)
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
As we follow our text along, we find that many of the regular Jews, not the ruling religious Jews, became aware that Jesus was in Bethany so they went to see Jesus and Lazarus. I think we all would be curious to see Lazarus. He was dead and buried. On a spiritual level because of Jesus our stone was rolled away, death was replaced with life, the graveclothes (sin) were removed, and we walk in a newness of life. We invited Jesus in to sup with us just like this day in Bethany. Can you imagine the wisdom and understanding that flowed around the table that day? O what a Savior! Just think, it will not be that long and we can look Lazarus up and ask him to tell us about that day and about the day he came forth from the tomb. What stories, accounts, to hear.
In verse eleven we see that many of the Jews believed upon Jesus that day in Bethany, and now (2019 on the earth) they walk the streets of Heaven and other places outside of Heaven. The number eleven represents alignment with God. It is the will of God that all be saved and they were by faith that day. These Jews came into alignment with the will of God. Alignment with the will of God is always such a wonderful place to be. It does not happen by accident but on purpose, we do it on purpose. If we are of the opinion that singing a few songs, hollering, and dancing around the Church a few times brings one into alignment with God and brings the fullness of the Covenant into our lives we are sadly in grave error. Study, diligence, asking God for and receiving understanding and wisdom by faith, in love, as led of the Holy Spirit is the answer. Before we move forward in the final days of Jesus Ministry on earth notice that the Chief Priests are consulting, conspiring, not only how they might put Jesus to death but Lazarus as well. Now, let’s move forward in our study.
John 12:12-16 (KJV)
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
The next day is five days before Passover, five days before Jesus will die upon the Cross. This day is commonly called “Palm Sunday” or may be referred to as the “Triumphant Entry”. With the first Passover when God caused the exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt the lamb was set aside to be inspected on the tenth of Nisan and that is what is happening in the account we are studying. Jesus will be in and out of Jerusalem all week as the people, the Jews, common folk, religious, and ruling Jews inspect Him. At 3 o’clock in the afternoon on the 14th of Nisan (Thursday afternoon) the Lamb of God will return spiritual and physical perfection to mankind. Of course, total perfection awaits but is paid for and as certain as there is a God in Heaven.
Zechariah 9:9 (ESV)
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
We, the Church, the Church triumphant are the daughter of Zion! Jesus is the King of kings! We are the kings of which He is King. He brought back righteousness to mankind and He brought salvation. We have been returned to the Garden of Eden but now one with Christ Jesus. We are a new creature, a new son, in the image and likeness of Christ Jesus and in Christ Jesus.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
