Greeting and blessing in Christ Jesus for the glory of God. It is Tuesday and today I am honoring the State of Washington. Today we are reminded to pray for the various governments across America. Washington was the 42nd state admitted to the Union on November 11, 1889 during the Administration of our 23rd President, Benjamin Harrison. Pictured is a map locating Washington within the United States. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) America is a Covenant nation with God as are the individual states. Note the preamble to the Constitution of the State of Washington.
CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON
PREAMBLE
We, the people of the State of Washington, grateful to the Supreme Ruler of the Universe for our liberties, do ordain this constitution. (Bold added)
Now back to our study which is propelling us forward in Christ due to our diligence to be just like Jesus.
Colossians 2:6-10 (KJV)
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
In the following passage we see clearly the Words the Father spoke to restore the man Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John to the Godhead. Those attributes of God that He laid aside when He entered the womb of Mary and became our sacrifice have been restored (Philippians 2:7-9).
Hebrews 1:5-9 (KJV)
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Bold added)
Jesus is now seated in Heaven with a physical flesh and bone, immortal, incorruptible body with all the fullness of the Godhead. Jesus is every bit a man and every bit God.
1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (Bold added)
We are clearly told that the mediator (go-between, intermediary, arbitrator, negotiator, facilitator, and intercessor) between God (the Godhead) and men is the God and the man (human) Christ Jesus. The following passage outlines the process of the Word who was fully God (Philippians 2:6), to Jesus who was the spirit of the Word and a flesh and blood body prepared by the Father (Philippians 2:7-8), and back to God, the man Christ Jesus with a flesh and bone body which is immortal (Philippians 2:9-11).
Philippians 2:6-11 (AMP)
6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,
7 But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.
8 And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!
9 Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,
10 That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
And just think of it, we are a part of all of this. We are not distant observers, we are intimate with God. We are seated with Him, with Them in the Heavenly Place. The Holy Spirit has made our spirit man alive, He is our main Teacher, He speaks the will of the Father to us, he covers us (Anointing) and fills us with His presence and power which flows with our exercise of authority (dominion) in obedience to the Word, The Great Shepard.
