BE YOURSELF – A SON OF GOD

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries a Christian teaching Ministry and an online Church and our continuing study titled “Knowledge of the Truth. I will be continuing along the lines of worshipping God in spirit and in Truth. The truth is our guide. First, we will start with how Jesus is our guide. Jesus said that He always did and only did what the Father did (John 5:19) and He only said what the Father said (John 8:38) and in that process He always pleased the Father (John 8:29). That may seem like a tall order and involves getting absolute control over our tongues, serious Bible Study, and time with the Lord. Jesus did this as a man, so it is doable by you and me. Jesus was the first Son, the prototype, the example all the sons to follow are to emulate. We must renew our mind to the knowledge that with God all things are possible.
The Truth, Bible Truth, is that you and I if we are born again are sons of God. So, let’s be ourselves knowing without question and boldly proclaiming I am a son of God. Now, let’s go to the bottom line. We are to be led of the spirit, our spirit directed of The Holy Spirit, we are guided by Truth which is Jesus, The Holy Spirit, the Word, and Love. Why? It is critical that each one of us press in to come to the next higher level of Godly knowledge. This knowledge is from the Throne and is expressed by the Greek word epignosis. This is the Truth we are to walk in doing all the will of God.
As we walk in the truth we become an expression of Jesus, of the Holy Spirit, of the Word of God and of Love. Wow! As we walk in truth we become a representative of Jesus, of Holy Spirit, of the Word of God, and love. Remember, love is absolute obedience to the Word of God, progressively displacing the ways of the world. We are in the image and likeness of God. People need to see God expressed in us, and His goodness expressed through us. They need to see this. As we walk in truth we become a revelation of Jesus, the power of God is revealed through us, the Word of God is spoken and lived out in plain sight for the world to see. Love (obedience to the Word, selflessness, Blood Covenant) they have never heard of or seen must be manifested in our lives, not in words only, but deeds. The only ones that can change our world, the culture, the seven mountains in a Godly direction are the sons of God.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
“As He is, so are we in this world.” Is what God says about us, what do you say? Do we dare say this in the presence of others? Shifting gears just a tad, Jesus said that His words were spirit and life. Do you think He expects our words to be spirit and life instead of spirit and death since we are in Him and born of Him?

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
We know it is also written that the power of death and life is in our words.
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
What are we speaking about ourselves and others? All words are spiritual. These words may arise from our spirit man, or our soul which is the location of our mind. Then those words may or may not be uttered by our physical mouth bringing the spiritual realm into the physical realm. Our example is Jesus and all His words were spirit and life. Now, what about us? We must renew our minds to speaking life and not death. This is hard in the training phase because there are times, we just want to tell someone “to go to hell” when we should say “I pray God’s blessing invade your life.” This is very important to accomplish. How many embarrassing things do you want to explain at the Judgement Seat of Christ?
TAKE HOME:
- We are to say what the Father says and do what the Father does, period.
- We must know, be fully persuaded that as Jesus is today at the right hand of the Father so are we in this world.
- Our words are to be spirit and life just like our Lord.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
