SAY WHAT THE FATHER SAYS AND DO AS THE FATHER DOES

Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries online Church and our continuing study titled “Knowledge of the Truth. I will be continuing along the lines of worshipping God in spirit and in Truth. The truth is our guide. First, we will start with how Jesus is our guide. Jesus said that He always did and only did what the Father did (John 5:19) and He only said what the Father said (John 8:38) and in that process He always pleased the Father (John 8:29). That may seem like a tall order and involves getting absolute control over our tongues. Jesus did this as a man, so it is doable by you and me. We must renew our mind to the knowledge that with God all things are possible. Consider the following passage.
John 14:10-12 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus points out that He only spoke the Words of the Father which activated and allowed the Power (Holy Spirit) to do the works like heal the sick and raise the dead. Then He goes on to command us to do the works He did and greater works. The works that He did, and greater works will require that we operate within the same knowledge and obedience guidelines.
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The one who honors the Word of God and does the Word of God is the one that loves God. Because of this honor, this love of God, submission to God (worship), He will in turn love us (obeying Scripture) and manifest Himself to us. Wow, I want all I can get of that! Help me Jesus to worship you in absolute spirit and truth.
Second, as we walk in the truth we are guided by the Holy Spirit, He guides us into all the Truth; He is called the Spirit of Truth. He will show us the hidden things and guide us around the potholes in the road. The Holy Spirit will tell us what is on the heart of Jesus and tell us of the things to come. We should not be surprised by events but forewarned and prepared. This of course takes time and an attentive spiritual ear. You must communicate with God daily and throughout the day on all kinds of issues, the important and the trivial; practice His presence and His guidance.
John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Third, we are guided by the Word of God. The Word of God is the last word for us in life. Whatever He says in the Word is what we do and our only response is, yes sir. The Word of God cleanses us and sets us apart (sanctifies) for His use. We come into the Kingdom of God fully trained in the ways of confusion, the world. Our mind has to be renewed or trained in the ways of the Kingdom of God by the Word of God. We are to develop a disciplined mind.

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
John 17:17 (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Forth, we are guided by love. In essence we are guided by God because He is love. We are guided by the command of love that Jesus gave during His earthly ministry which elevated the love walk to a whole new level but also took us to a whole new level in Him.
John 13:34 (KJV)
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Just think on it, how did He love us? God himself became a man and walked among us, was hated of His creation and yielded Himself to death on a cross because He loved us and wanted to redeem us back to the Father. We do not have to go to the literal cross, we do not have to shed our blood, but we do have to lay down our lives, our will for His will. He said that when we laid down our lives, we would find our lives, our real purpose, and a place of protection, health and abundance untapped to this time.
Matthew 16:25 (KJV)
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
TAKE AWAY:
- Jesus is the prototype Son, and we are to follow His example.
- We are to be attentive to the Holy Spirits leadership, the inner witness.
- The Word of God is His primary instructions to us.
- We are to be guided by the law of love.
- Whoever will surrender their life to His will, will experience real life, Heaven upon the earth.
