WHO IS IN CONTROL OF WHAT

I will continue today with what the Lord is saying to the Church through me. There is only one entity on the earth that can stop and reverse the moral freefall of this nation and the world. That entity is the Church, each of us individually and corporately in our groups, but it will not occur in the present condition of the Church, body of Christ. As I have been asking the Lord about this and meditating upon it, I believe He has brought three things to mind. First, He reminded me of two prophecies He had given me and I discussed those last week as well as the King Cyrus of our time. Second is a recent sermon the theme of which stirred me and I shared in part yesterday. And third there are two sacred cows (there are many more) that much of the Church believe to be true but are not. I will continue today discussing the false God in control doctrine. This doctrine is so dangerous because it intertwines with the second sacred cow the exercise of our authority.
The most important words in my life, in your life, are our own words. Don’t take my word for it, listen to our Creator.
Matthew 12:35 (KJV)
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Once we exercise our authority, Jesus sees to it that the words of our mouths are performed whether they be good or bad. It is the Law of Confession (words) as well as Sowing and Reaping. Now, let’s take a look at what God does control.
Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Bold added)
The upholding all things refers to the laws of the Kingdom of God. This would be all natural and spiritual laws. Just as God framed the worlds by the Word of His mouth so we frame our world by the words of our mouth. We are in His image, His likeness, and of like kind, therefore we look like and act like Him. Unlike God this works in the positive or negative in our lives in response to our thought life and words we speak that we believe.
Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
All that God did and does is by faith powered of love and therefore that is how we must operate. God gave dominion over the earth to Adam and all mankind who were to follow. However, Adam surrendered or placed himself under the authority (dominion) of Satan and lost the spiritual authority delegated by God at his making. Man, still had authority and could rebel or override Satan but he now lived on the earth by painful toil and sweat brought by the curse of sin.
Romans 6:16 (KJV)
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Whose servant am I, what about you? Jesus restored that supernatural dominion (authority) to us when we humble ourselves under His Hand. We can live in the abundance of the Seventh Day as intended from creation. This is the provision of God and not painful toil and sweat. He did this by the work of Calvary, His triumph over Hell and death, the Resurrection, His own restoration again being fully God, and the return of the Blessing/Holy Spirit for all believers.
Having said all of this, God has always provided a significant degree of mercy and Grace for those who worshipped Him. He said the Old Testament saints could have days of Heaven upon the earth (Deuteronomy 11:21, read the whole chapter). The difference today is that we have more autonomy or perhaps I should say more responsibility rests with us, the individual. That is so, because we have full authority to trigger supernatural outcomes in accordance with the will of God in faith motivated of love. To eliminate confusion let me add here that all physical manifestations in this material world have a spiritual root. That being true we bring about the good, the bad, and the ugly by the thoughts of our minds and words of our mouth that we believe. The other side of the coin is also true, which is the failure to exercise our thought life and words in a Godly fashion. We ourselves bring or allow the good and the bad into our lives.
TAKE HOME:
- The thoughts of our minds and the words of our mouth which we believe determine the course of our lives.
- God controls all spiritual and physical laws so that they are applied equally to all.
- What or to whom are you yielded? They have control by our consent be it God or Satan.
