Wednesdays have been labeled as ‘hump day’ and I use the pictures of camels due to their hump or humps as a visual. Wednesday is the center of the week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to noon is uphill to reach the apex of the hump then we start downhill headed to Friday generally with some degree of excitement. Our Heavenly Father has an assignment for all of us in the earth and in the world. We are assigned to one or more of the societal pillars. We are uniquely equipped to carry out those assignments. Perhaps God has gifted you to work in the Financial Pillar or the Science Pillar. Our work for God does not occur for the most part at Church unless that is our primary pillar. It does not occur in some sort of outreach activity unless that is part of our assignment. Our work for the Kingdom of God occurs in our prayer closet and in our lives including our work. If you are not happy in your job go to the Lord and ask Him why. Perhaps you have chosen your job not the Lord.
Ephesians 1:5-6 (KJV)
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Our destiny is in our hand not Gods Hand until we place ourselves in His hand. We are free-will people and we choose, not always wisely but nonetheless we choose. God even made the angels (different class, species from man) with free-will that is how Lucifer was able to sin and a third of the angel class rebelled with him against God. Can you imagine? Lucifer had been in the presence of God for who knows how long, and may have seen massive creations done by God in addition to this earth and surrounding universes. Lucifer, now Satan, is a created being with zero authority or power except as delegated by God from time to time to accomplish his assignments, and he thinks he can take Gods place. What delusion! We see that same delusion all around us today in governments and individually we are their own god. God has chosen all of us to be His dear children. How blind we are when we refuse Him. I refused Him for many years but due to the righteousness of my parents, their prayers and the prayers of intercession for me, God was merciful and patient and I finally quit kicking against the pricks (Holy Spirit). The word ‘predestinated’ comes from the root word destiny. The prefix ‘pre’ indicated that our future was determined before we were born, in this case before God said: “Let light be, and light is”.
Genesis 1:3 (YLT) [YLT = Young’s Literal Translation]
3 and God saith, `Let light be;’ and light is.
The will of God for each and every one of us was established before the foundation of this creation however it should be clear to all that we are not all in the will of God. Let each of us look at our own lives and ask ourselves if everything that has transpired in our life since salvation was the will of God or a series of our own thoughts, words, and actions? Many of those thoughts, words, and actions were orchestrated by the enemy because we would not receive the counsel of the Holy Spirit or those God sent to speak the will of God into our lives. No sickness or disease is ever at any time the will of God. Now, God will go to great lengths to bring us into the Kingdom of God, into the family, especially if there are those praying for us, interceding or we are part of a Christian family, particularly Christian parents.
Isaiah 49:25 (KJV)
25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. (Accent added)
Deuteronomy 7:9 (KJV)
9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
God has promised in a very unequivocal way to save our children. It does not mean they do not have a free-will but He will go overboard to deal with them in extraordinary ways. It is just like you and I will go further to help someone in our family than someone in someone else’s family (kingdom of darkness). This does not just apply to the children that you caused to be but the children in your family line in their generations up to a thousand generations. God is good, in fact, way beyond good. Meditate the following verse in the God’s Word Translation and we will pick up here tomorrow.
Ephesians 1:6 (GW)
6 so that the kindness he had given us in his dear Son would be praised and given glory.
