WILLING AND OBEDIENT
Thursday – March 26, 2020, Nisan 1, 5780

Greeting to our dear friends and partners, precious saints, sons and daughters of the only living God. Welcome back to this wonderful and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and to expand the reach of these teachings. The picture today as usual is of Donna and me. It was taken last April in San Antonio, Texas at the Southside Church of God.
Please remember that there is a Conference arm of this Ministry and we have a conference coming right up. All ladies you need to get your flyer and register for the Women’s Conference coming up on the 30th of May at New Beginnings Church of God in Waterville, Maine. This conference is not for only Church of God ladies but is open to all ladies, all denominations, and all independent Churches. Registration is $25.00 with lunch provided.
We are always ready to receive financial partners to this ministry whether it be general support or specific to the Sabbatical Moments arm (ministry to discouraged Pastors and spouses) or the Conference arm. Inquire of the Lord what your part is in this Ministry. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud.
John 15:10-14 (KJV)
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
As you know we have camped out again this week on verse ten of the primary Bible text above. If Jesus thought it was important enough to keep talking about it then we must assign a great importance to it as well. Remember, Jesus didn’t say anything the Father didn’t tell Him to say so this is directly from our Heavenly Father. This is from the One’s who have nothing but good for us on their mind. This is from the One’s (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who have already provided a superabundant life for us now and forever. We acquire this life now and forever by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. God is so good. Suffering financial lack, ill health, or any other lack is not the plan or provision of God for us and brings no glory to Him. Our God is nothing but good, the devil and the curse is nothing but bad. He has paid for all good things and we obtain them by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit.
When we do the Word of God, keep His commandments He (God) is abiding in our love and in turn we will abide in the love of our Lord and the Father. When we discharge our obligations in the Kingdom, He releases the benefits. We must discharge our obligations with a willing (eager to do it heart) in full not partial obedience. Yesterday we ended with the following Scripture, let’s revisit it.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Willing does not just mean that we were willing in a nonchalant way but that we were in fact eager to do it knowing it would please our Heavenly Father, the one we say we love (agape). This willingness, a favorable inclination to do, and the actual doing puts us in the place where we actually will eat the good of the land. Now, understand this is not just talking about food, but the best cars, houses, clothing, and so on. The best, not “good enough for me”. Watch for choke points in your thinking. Generally a choke point is the point where we can’t do it ourselves and would really have to exercise faith. However, if we are not willing and do not do, we are devoured by the same Word that could have easily brought untold abundance. Disobedience is sin and opens our life up to the stealing, killing, and destroying of the thief (and the thief is not God). Let me ask each of us, do we want to partake of the good of the land or be devoured? It seems like this would be a no brainer yet we see our brothers and sisters in Christ be devoured on every side with all of the curse.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Let’s look at this in the Passion Translation.
John 10:10 (PassionNTPsa)
10 A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!
Which life are you experiencing, am I experiencing? Why?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
