THE GOSPEL OF PEACE
Wednesday – May 3, 2017

On this hump day our Arabian camel is shouting HALLELUJAH! Hallelujah means: praise the Lord most vehement! The Lord most vehement is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is so very good.
Notice: Our snail mail address has changed to: 3 Rosswood Green Lane, Unit Two, Oakland, Maine 04963.
Welcome and chose the blessing (the empowerment) to receive and use the Word of God today and every day in obedience to the Father. I will be continuing today with our study on the whole armour of God as presented in the Book of Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:13-18 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
I have spent Monday and Tuesday looking at the prophetic shadows and types that God gave the peoples of old and us which presage the coming impenetrable undefeatable armour of God. Before I move on to the “gospel of peace” I want to spend just a moment again on the following Scripture. I think you will find this fascinating.
Exodus 28:30 (KJV)
30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
We are going to look at the numbers of this verse. Exodus is the second book of the Bible and two is the number of union or division. The number twenty-eight represents eternal life. And the number thirty stands for the Blood of Jesus. We were separated from God by sin however the Blood of Jesus has restored eternal life and once again allowed union with the Father. Isn’t Scripture amazing and so wonderful? Now let’s plunge into the gospel of peace.
Ephesians 6:15 (KJV)
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
The priests of old entered the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place barefooted however they did wash with water before and blood was applied to the ear, the thumb, and the great toe.
Exodus 29:4 (KJV)
4 And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.
Water resents the Word of God and the preceding verse is a picture of being cleansed by the Word of God. They were cleaning their bodies. The Word of God had no effect in cleansing their dead souls for there was no potential to be born again until Christ. We however are made clean by the Word of God, once again a living soul.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
This water (Word of God) and this blood of the ram (male sheep – Jesus) brings the reality of the gospel (good news) of peace (oneness again with God). You and I sweet brother and sister in the Lord are continuously in the Most Holy Place by the Word of God (our testimony) and the Blood of the Lamb.
Exodus 29:20 (KJV)
20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
We are born again by the Word and the Blood. At that moment we are made alive by the Holy Spirit who comes to live in us. With the filling of the Holy Spirit we are endued with power, His power. Everything that our natural senses (hear, see, touch, taste, and smell) encounter must be tested by the Blood, the Word of God. Also, remember we have The Teacher, the Discerner of all Truth with and in us to guide us. We are to reject whatever is not of God and keep all that is of God. The hand whether it be the hand of God or our hand is speaking of power. We have supernatural power by the Blood and the Word (once we are filled with the Holy Spirit). We are also guided supernaturally as to where to go by the Blood and the Word of God.
The word translated ‘preparation’ in our Ephesians text can also be translated ‘provision’. Everywhere we go there is to be the testimony of our peace and that it is available to all who will make Jesus Lord. Remember that this is peace with God, we were once enemies and now we are near by the Blood of Jesus. This peace by the Word and the Blood brings us into union with God makes us one with Him.
Again I want to make the point that the Blood of the Lamb, and the words of our testimony (Word of God) bring us into union with the Father, into the family of God, however we are without the fullness of this relationship until we are filled with the Holy Spirit and power. Having our feet shod with the preparation (provision) of the gospel of peace means that we are a living testimony everywhere we go that everyone can be at peace with God and be one with God and all that the Kingdom of God affords (no definable limits). O praise the Lord! You may recall that the number fifteen (Ephesians 6:15) represents the provision of God, the rest of God. I urge us all to enter fully into His rest. I will pick-up with verse sixteen tomorrow the Lord willing.
Please receive the Blessing by faith. Grab it, it is yours, confess it in the first person in the name of Jesus.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Say: The Lord enables me, strengthens me and guards around about me, His face is shining upon me because I submit to Him, and O He is so gracious to me. He is looking upon me as a glowing Father and I am one with Him in Jesus name.
