TRIUMPHANT ENTRY
Monday – April 15, 2019, Nisan 10, 5779

Greetings and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons to share the most valuable thing (Word of God) in the earth and expand the reach of this Ministry of Truth. Before I continue with our study of the Book of John I will deal briefly with the “Triumphant Entry” preceding Passover. This is the onset of Passover week with Passover coming on Friday at 6 p.m. The 10th of Nisan is when God told His people in Egyptian (type of sin) bondage to set aside for inspection the lamb that was to sacrificed on the 14th of Nisan.
Exodus 12:1-6 (KJV)
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Just as in Egypt on the 10th of Nisan preceding that first Passover when a first born unblemished male lamb was set aside and inspected until Passover so was Jesus set aside and inspected until the 14th of Nisan.
John 12:1 (KJV)
1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
John 12:12-15 (KJV)
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
Jesus was in and out of Jerusalem all this week until He allowed Himself to be sacrificed, taking our sins and giving us His righteousness. Now, let’s briefly turn our attention to our study in the Book of John starting by reading our text aloud.
John 8:51-54 (KJV)
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
I left off Friday talking about the word “keep” in verse fifty-one. We noted that this word “keep” not only had to do with knowing the Word but guarding it in our hearts with all due diligence. There is nothing more valuable or powerful in the earth than the Word of God spoken in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. The word “saying” is the Greek word transliterated to English as logos. The Logos of God is the Word spoken by a living voice. A living voice is an Anointed voice, one led of the Holy Spirit, saying what the Father says, doing what the Father does, and having an unwavering faith that one outcome and one outcome only is possible and that is what the Word decreed. Jesus goes on to tell the Jews that day and us that any person who would keep and speak (logos) the Word would never see death. Here again the carnal view of the Jews is in stark contrast to Jesus, The Living Voice, who is speaking spiritually. If we are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit endued with Power from on High, we can and most do as Jesus did. This is not theoretical or pie in the sky level but the exercise of dominion and power (The Blessing) given from the beginning. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
