WHERE DID HE GO?
Tuesday – June 2, 2020, Sivan 10, 5780
Greetings dear and precious saints and welcome back to this powerful and instructive Bible Study of the Book of John. God is so good, and He is nothing but good. He does not have a dark side and does not instruct us with calamity of any type. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. A few days ago, the Lord brought a phrase up in my thinking which was; the Power of God is not in the whoop and the holler. Sometimes in Pentecostal circles noise and motion are equated with the moving of the Holy Spirit and an expression of love for God. Neither is true. Most of the time it is emotion and an acting out of the traditions of men.
The Power of God flows when we speak and do the Words of God in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Mark 16:19-20). The power of the devil(s), of the curse, is loosed in our lives when we don’t speak and do the Words of God in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 28:14-68). God speaks in a still small voice and obedience to that voice changes us, others, and our surroundings (1 Kings 19:12). Why doesn’t the average Christian, and the Church as a whole exercise their God given authority to govern the earth, the world (Genesis 1:26, Jeremiah 1:10)? No teaching and therefore no faith! There is a failure to diligently study the Bible in the body of Christ and see, receive, believe, and act upon what it actually says. Why is the Church impotent (weak, helpless, powerless)? There is no faith and no power! Where is the repentance? All I have seen with a few exceptions is Church as usual (albeit electronic) and rebellion. There is a rising remnant dear ones, decide to be a part of it and put faithlessness and powerlessness in the review mirror and do all the will of God. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for our study of John.
John 16:4-7 (KJV)
4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jesus is literally in the final moments of His earthly ministry before the Cross and He is downloading on the disciples present to prepare them for the eternity changing events about to unfold. Are we paying attention to the Word of our Lord? It would seem that much of the Church is not paying attention to the Word of our Lord as evidenced by the reaction of Pastors and Congregants alike to this Coronavirus pestilence. It seems our Churches have turned into social clubs instead of way stations for equipping, refreshing, deliverance, and healings of all sorts. There was and is a total lack of preparedness for this pestilence for there is no honoring of the Prophets (office of Prophet not gift of prophecy) in many Churches, even whole denominations. Nothing happens in the earth that isn’t first declared, announced or decreed by the Prophets.
Let’s focus in on verse five for a moment. In the preceding chapters Jesus has been telling the disciples that He is about to leave and even has told them in chapter fourteen there were many mansions (dwelling places) in His Fathers house and He was going to prepare a place for them. It would seem clear to me but I have the benefit of the retrospectoscope, He, Jesus, is about to return to Heaven. Jesus tells them plainly; I am going to Him that sent me and none of you have asked where I am going. The one who sent Jesus, the Messiah, is the Father and Jesus is returning to the Father who is in Heaven. Instead they were in sorrow because He was saying He would be leaving them. They were focused on themselves and not Him nor the greater purposes of God. What about you and me?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
