YOUR JOY NO MAN TAKETH

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this engaging, enlightening, and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible to extend the reach of the Truth. The featured picture today was provided by Joe Getchell Jr a good personal friend and a friend of this Ministry. Spiritual light, imagery produced by the Word of God, is not just knowing something as information but having revelation, insight, and conviction to act upon that Truth no matter what. Having information about something is distinct from having revelation, understanding, concerning the thing. Something may be well understood to us and seemingly obvious but that may not be true for another person. The person we are observing may not be violating the light in which they walk. It is not yet revelation for them. This is the reason we are not to judge. We judge according to outward appearances however God knows the heart with certainty and is the only completely just judge.
John 7:24 (KJV)
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. (Bold added)
Now, are we ready to receive, believe, and act upon the light (revealed Truth) we see today? If we are not ready to receive, believe, and act upon what is contained in this and other teachings, why bother to read on? I encourage each of us to receive with eagerness of heart (Acts 17:10-11) but to prove or establish each point by two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1). Let’s read our primary Bible text out loud.
John 16:20-22 (KJV)
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Today I am focusing on verse twenty-two above. Jesus is about to go to the Cross and they will not see Him for three days and then that sorrow will be turned to rejoicing. Then Jesus tells them and us that no man will take our joy. This statement is telling us that our joy is our choice and not the choice of other people or the devils that bombard us daily. Simply put, if we do not have joy, we made a choice to not have joy, it is impossible for someone to take our joy. Natural joy is an emotion which originates in the brain not the mind (spiritual organ of the spirit man). The following is a definition of joy from the Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary; The passion or emotion excited by the acquisition or expectation of good; that excitement of pleasurable feelings which is caused by success, good fortune, the gratification of desire or some good possessed, or by a rational prospect of possessing what we love, desire or a feeling of exhilaration. Natural joy is wonderful and somewhat contagious but not nearly at the level of supernatural or spiritual joy.
This joy that Jesus is talking about is not that of the world or the natural man but of the born-again spirit man. It is one of the fruit of the spirit, our spirit, and the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
As I close for today, let me ask a question for us to mediate until we pick up right here tomorrow. If the joy of the Lord is our strength, could it be that our joy is His strength?
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
