THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this in depth and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. The featured picture today of Donna and me is courtesy of our very good friend, Ministry friend, and partner Pastor Thomas DuPerry II. This was taken on the 1st of August on Quill Hill here in Maine. It was a beautiful day in all ways. Our God is so very good and He is nothing but good. Anything that is not good is of our own making and courtesy of the thief. Dear ones we and we alone open the door for our Lord and the Blessing or for the devil(s) and the curse. I know that really rocks religious boats but they need to not only be rocked but capsized. We need to start walking on the Water (Word of God) and quit riding around in religious boats brimming over with the traditions of men, the doctrines of demons, and no faith to do the things did and the greater things as He commanded. We are at the verge of a new day dear ones! Awaken and walk in the light fleeing the darkness. The day of same o, same o must be put far in our rear view mirrors. Jesus did not come for what we see today in the Church and the world. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:1-3 (KJV)
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Eternal life is an eternal connection to God and citizenship in the Kingdom of God. This comes one way and one way only. There are not many paths to God (the Father). There is but one path and that is Christ Jesus. There is but one path, one way, to Heaven and one way only not many. Again, that is Christ Jesus! People in the world for the most part are rebellious. Unfortunately, we bring that rebellious spirit with us into the Kingdom of God. Rebellion is of the devil; it is never of God. We are to submit to our God entirely abandoning pride and humbling ourselves under the mighty Hand of God (leadership of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Word of God). We are to submit to natural authority as well. Unfortunately, we are seeing Pastors lead their Churches into rebellion against the government ignoring the Word of God. Seems rather ironic since the Word of God should be the focus and not these other extraneous things. There are those (hopefully not my readers) who believe there are many ways to Heaven or resting in peace (R.I.P.) but there is not. The sad truth is that most people who die are as far from resting in peace that one can imagine. Can we really imagine the true torment of Hell? Consider the following Scriptures and if you do not know Jesus as Lord change that right here and now.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Consider the following familiar passage.
John 3:15-18 (KJV)
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
To bring clarity, eternal life and everlasting life are one and the same. Notice God condemns no one, we condemn ourselves by not believing on the Son of God, Christ Jesus. There is but one way to rest in peace and that is to know the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus. That is not to know about Him but to know Him, have a very personal relationship with Him. Jesus makes it clear in verse three of our primary Bible text that eternal life is knowing the “only true God, and Jesus Christ”. Why did He need to say it that way? Because there are many gods but only one true God and there are many who have professed to be Jesus Christ but they were not, there is only one. Man was made to be a son in the family of God. When a person is not in the family of God but serving the god of this world (Satan) there is a very empty unfulfilled place in their soul. When we were not saved, we attempted to fill it will all sorts of things which were not God and therefore did not satisfy the need, the empty spot.
The first several verses of our text talks about glorifying the Son and the Father. This means to show for all to see the goodness of the Son and the Father.
Romans 2:4 (KJV)
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Bold added)
We have a responsibility to show forth the goodness of God, to glorify God the Father and the Son in the earth. We do this by our obedience to Him. In this way people will want what we have and will come to repentance attaining to eternal life and the abundant life now and in that to come. Lord willing, I will pick up here next week. Can you believe it, fall is upon us?
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
