IN A LITTLE WHILE

Greetings dear and precious people and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment to share this teaching and all others as widely as possible. The featured picture today is of Donna and me on a recent trip to E. Boothbay, Maine near Ocean Point Inn. The person taking the picture was trying to align Donna’s finger with the lighthouse which can be seen on the island just to the left of her index finger. This tranquil scene is in sharp contrast to the turmoil that is ongoing in our nation as I write this (1 June). The Lord has assured me that as bad as the shaking of the last several years may seem this nation is being settled back on the firm foundation of its founding, the Holy Word of God. This nation and Israel are the only two Covenant (with God) nations on the earth and the devil is working night and day to bring both down. America as a Covenant nation and was raised up to show the goodness of God and further the Christian faith. This nation is also a refuge and a covering for Israel. All great nations are destroyed from the inside out but it will not succeed here. As unlikely as it may seem, righteousness is arising and will take us to the Rapture. A great harvest is at the door, great turmoil is at the door as well. Pay no attention to the storms but focus on the Word and our individual and corporate assignments. Like Isaac we can sow in the time of famine and reap one-hundred-fold waxing greater and greater.
All that is happening has been and is being allowed by the Church. We, the Church, are the governing authority in the earth. The traditional Church is in gross darkness, which they have chosen. This traditional Church which includes many that think they are on fire are blinded by choosing the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons. There is a rising remnant that will bring much-needed hope, words of Truth, and the Power of God to the world and those in the Church who will receive and believe. The rising Remnant will have new shepherds, they will be fruitful and increase, they will operate in love with faith not fear and torment. They will operate with clarity of vision, and have an overflowing abundance of all things. As it was at the beginning of the Church so it will be at the end. Then the end will come with the traditional Church remaining in deep darkness. The victory is not in the jump, holler, and singing, but in the receiving of the pure Word of God, believing the pure Word of God, and doing in faith the pure Word of God, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. Then we will be doers and firsthand witnesses to the things Jesus did and the greater things (John 14:12). Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for our study and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 16:15-18 (KJV)
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
As we move forward in our primary Bible text just hours before the Cross, Jesus is telling those gathered disciples that in “A little while” they would not be seeing Him and then again in “a little while” they would see Him again. Jesus has been telling these disciples that He is going to the Cross, He is going to the Father, He is sending the Comforter (Spirit of Truth), and going to prepare a mansion for each of them, still they are not hearing Him. How many things has He been saying to us, over how many years, and we just go on as usual in our own little world? In hours Jesus is going to the Cross and Jesus has been talking to them a lot about this yet they seem oblivious. Is there a lesson here for us or only for us to look at them and shake our heads?
Is Jesus talking here about the three days from the Cross to the Resurrection or is He talking about something else? It seems to me that a part of solution or answer to this question is the mention of His going to the Father. We have just finished talking about the coming of the Holy Spirit (Comforter, Spirit of Truth) which happens ten days after the ascension of Jesus to the right Hand of the Father. In a few hours Jesus is going to the Cross and upon His death physically He will be out of their sight until the Resurrection. At and following His resurrection He appeared to the disciples over a period of forty days and is seen by many.
1 Corinthians 15:4-8 (KJV)
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Returning to the question about what Jesus meant by saying they would not see Him for a little while and then they would see Him in a little while. Of course, in the immediate time period this could be speaking of the three days He is gone from their view after dying on the Cross. However, I think we need to pull back and take a longer view. I will pick up with this next Monday Lord willing but it seems to me He is talking about the fact that He is ascending to the Father, sending another in His place, and upon their physical death they will see Him again.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
