AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

LIFE THROUGH HIS NAME
Greeting’s sons and daughter of the Most High God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. The Lord bless you who diligently pursue the Lord, pursue Him to do His Holy Words. May He lead us, all of us, who walk in faith, powered of love, led of the Holy Spirit into all of the abundance of the Kingdom of God. Let us all be very aware that He, His Word, must be first in our lives in order to partake of the divine nature, all of the goodness of God. Otherwise, we leave varying degrees of His provision on the table that was fully ours. All things in the Kingdom of God, starting with salvation, are obtained by faith, powered of love (agape), and led of the Spirit of God. All things (spiritual and physical)! The featured picture today is of Donna and me in San Antonio Texas late 2019, I believe at the Saltgrass Steak Restaurant. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 20:29-31 (KJV)
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
As we move forward in our text the Apostle John prompted by the Holy Spirit tells us that Jesus did many “other signs” in the presence of the disciples but they are not written in this Book of John. They are not in this Book of John nor any other book in the earth so far as I know. We have what the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit wants us to have and is ample for a victorious life. Most importantly it is more than sufficient for us to conclude that Jesus is truly the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God. With that belief, that name (His Power of Attorney to us) we attain to eternal life through His name. Before we move forward into the last chapter of this wonderful Bible Book of John let’s examine a few things about the name of Jesus.
Acts 17:28 (KJV)
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Without Him we are not the offspring of God the Father.
Acts 2:38 (KJV)
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
When we say “in the name” we are saying by the authority of that name thus and so. It is by that name that all is received in the Kingdom of God not only the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost. The following verse is an example of healing.
Acts 3:6-8 (KJV)
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
I am sure this is a familiar passage for most if not all of you reading this. An interesting thing to consider is the word ‘in’. This English word ‘in’ is the transliterated Greek word en meaning instrumentality according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. When we say “in the name of Jesus” thus and so it is like we are using an instrument of some sort for the job at hand. An instrument like a hammer, screwdriver, etc. The name Jesus is not only our name but is our Power of Attorney which gives us authority to conduct Kingdom of God business. We are sons of God and fully authorized to conduct business on behalf of the Kingdom. We received this Power of Attorney upon entrance into the Kingdom of God. The name, the Power of Attorney has no bounds but we have boundaries according to our maturity. Remember, all things supernatural are done by faith, powered by love, and led of the Holy Spirit. If any of these are absent there is no obligation on the Father for the Power to flow. Consider the following passage.
Galatians 4:1-2 (KJV)
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
This “time appointed” is not a set time but a time when a proper level of maturity has been achieved (tested). This is no different in the natural. We don’t give the same level of responsibility to a three-year-old as a twelve-year-old, or a thirty-year-old.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
