NO MORE, I CAN’T TAKE IT!

Greeting my precious brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to this in depth, illuminating, and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook, please take a moment and hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage Donna and me and more importantly expand the reach of this gospel. The pictures today feature Donna, me, and the Pastors who officiated our wedding. The Pastor on the left is Thomas Duperry of Solid Rock Church of God in Pittsfield, Maine and on the right is Alan Imes our pastor and pastor of New Beginnings Church of God in Waterville, Maine. Both are absolutely wonderful loving men of God. Precious ones please understand that there are no more important Words, nor more important knowledge, not even close, than the Words of God, our knowledge (intimate) of God, of His Word. Knowing His Word, receiving His Word, having an unwavering faith in His Word, using His Word in Love and being led of the Holy Spirit should be the most fervent cry of our heart. If it is not, we might ask ourselves what knowledge, whose words do we value, what words do we have absolute faith in, where is our love, and who is leading us? Now let us turn to our primary Bible text and read it aloud together.
John 14:15-21 (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Right in the midst of the Ten Commandments we find a very similar statement to verse fifteen above.
Exodus 20:6 (KJV)
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Do you suppose this is important to God and more to the point important to us? The commandments of God are no different than the commandments we have given our children. All were designed to promote a safe and successful life for our children. The exact same thing is true for us in the commandments given us by God. He is not trying to torment us. It is the devil and his deceptions and the world that tries to tell us that when we serve God our lives are over and all fun is a distant memory. Nothing could be further from the truth. You have not had fun yet until you get into the flow of God, loving Him and your neighbor to the full extent of the light (revelation knowledge of God) you have at the time. With this thought I want to return to 1st John for a moment.
1 John 5:2-4 (KJV)
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
A natural outflow of loving God which is keeping His commandments is a love for His other children. If we find ourselves not loving others in the body of Christ, we have a defect in our love of God. I am fully aware that some people are really hard to love but we must do it on purpose. The first step is to stop confessing that we don’t like them, can’t stand them, and so on. Instead, we need to remind ourselves and confess that God loves them and therefore we love them, we bless them, we pray the protections of God and His mercy upon them. Also, let me point out that loving and liking are separate issues. We can love someone on purpose but really not like them or want to hang out with them. As we practice love towards them we will develop a genuine love for them. To love means that we will do and say nothing that is negative towards the person, we speak to their good. We must guard our tone of voice, our facial expressions, and our body language. The Father takes it very personal when we do things that harm His other children in any way.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Let us examine ourselves, judge ourselves regarding our love for God and for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Once we have done that with the help of the Holy Spirit and made the corrections necessary, we will be more mature, more like Him. If you have concluded you have no adjustments to make go back into the prayer closet and reconsider. Lord willing, I will pick up right here on Monday. As we all prepare for Thanksgiving next week let us keep in mind that our focus, the reason for the Holiday is to recognize the goodness, the love, of God in our lives. All else although wonderful is secondary.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
