ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE

Greetings and welcome to this Bible teaching dear and precious saints of the only Living God and non-saints serving the god of this world. Donna and I returned Friday the 16th of April from a wonderful and successful three weeks in San Antonio Texas. I had a very successful total left hip replacement on the first of April. We had wonderful fellowship with our family and friends. We were privileged to fellowship and worship with Pastors Bruce and Sherry Gunkle as well as the (our) Church family at City of Refuge. This is my first week (19th April) back to writing (other than the Prophets Chamber) in three weeks and it seems that I am bursting at the seams. Please take a moment right now to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible. I don’t know that we, the redeemed, fully comprehend just how good this gospel (not just my writings but the whole of Scripture) really is. However wonderful and glorious the fullness of this salvation may be now and in that which is to come, the failure to receive this salvation so freely given at great price leads to an indescribably awful hereafter.
Before we delve into our primary Bible teaching, I want to share something the Lord has been working on me about. When He works on me, I work on you. Is the Lord, the Kingdom of God and His way of doing, really number one in my life, in your life?
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Have we dared or even thought about asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate to us if this Scripture is true in our lives? Is this true or do we have an agenda and people who are first in our lives? Is the Lord and Kingdom business first or when pressured do we allow other things or people, to displace Kingdom business? Do we see our brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of God as our true eternal family or do we put our natural unsaved family ahead of them? Do we truly believe that if we focus on the Kingdom of God and His way of doing that He will indeed take care of the other things? Do we believe? Consider this, what we think, say, and do is what we really believe. It is the treasure in our heart and we eat the fruit thereof. Consider the following.
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Is our yoke easy and our burden light? If our yoke is not easy, and our burden is not light we have mixed in or given priority to things that are not of God. If we were notified that our good friend whom we loved was at deaths door would we rush to their side having no consultation with God or regard for our present assignment or would we delay as Jesus did with Lazarus? If we were at a meeting and ministering, would we leave the meeting to see what our natural family wanted outside?
Matthew 12:46-50 (KJV)
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Do we share Jesus’ prospective?
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 21:9-11 (KJV)
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
As we move into the 11th verse of our text we must wonder about the use of a very specific number as opposed to saying a “great multitude”. The new believer must know intuitively and those who have studied (not just read through) the Word know that all numbers have significance. You will remember another episode of a great catch from Peter’s boat but the net was flawed and broke. When we put these accounts together what do we see? We see the Old Covenant verses the New Covenant. In spite of the flaws of the Old Covenant a great harvest was still had. These saints were preserved in the Bosom of Abraham until the Messiah could come. Oh, the mercy and compassion of our God. The number one-hundred points to God’s election of Grace, we brother and sister are under grace or one could say empowered by grace. By Grace we are saved, our inner man, our spirit man, is made alive by Grace (Holy Spirit and Power) at the point of salvation, the accepting of Jesus as Lord and believing the Father raised Him from the dead. Fifty is the number of the Holy Spirit who returned to the earth in fulness on the Day of Pentecost after the Resurrection of Christ. Fifty is also the number of Jubilee.
Leviticus 25:10 (KJV)
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
Now, the number three, is the Trinity, Divine completeness. By the Grace of God, we have the opportunity to be at liberty from evil, returned to our possessions (physical and spiritual), and returned to the family of our dear Father. All of this not by something we did but was done of God, all three persons of God.
Lord willing, I we will move forward in our text next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
