AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

YOUR GOD AND MY GOD
Greetings dear friends and Partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International, Inc. and The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to this in-depth study of the wonderful Bible Book of John. You all are such a blessing to us. Those of you who follow this blog regularly but are not yet partners, we invite you to partner with us. Jesus was made sin so we could have His righteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Jesus suffered the full penalty of our sin so that we would not have too. Jesus spirit died first upon that Cross just as Adam’s did in the Garden and then Jesus died physically just as Adam did and all who follow. However, Jesus was innocent and He was not only raised to eternal life and us with Him but He was restored fully as God. Our God dear ones is beyond good.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus took the curse and gave us the Blessing.
Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
We have been redeemed from the curse, not just sin and death, but all of the curse that results from sin. One may be wondering then why there is so much curse in their life. Ignorance, unbelief, an inadequate love walk, and failure to be led of the Holy Spirit and the Truth are the reasons. As I am sure we all figured out long ago, nothing in the Kingdom of God is automatic starting with salvation. If the devil can deceive and get us to accept the curse he will, we must know that if we resist him, he will flee and the curse with him. Jesus hung on the tree (Cross) and took the curse in our stead and gave us the Blessing. Notice it is all by faith. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text.
Mary Magdalene was the very first to see the risen Savior. What an honor. We may not understand all the reasons for this but let me assure you it was not random. Now, read our primary Bible text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 20:17-19 (KJV)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Jesus tells her He must now ascend to His Father and her Father, His God, and her God. He also tells her to transmit this information to His brethren, the disciples at the time, and now us today. His precious Blood was being applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven bringing our cleansing and the cleansing of Heaven. Now back to the restoration of the Word as the second person of the Triune Co-equal God.
Hebrews 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Briefly, in verse two above we find that the Father has spoken clearly through the Son and the Son (Jesus) has been appointed heir of all things. What do we think is excluded from “all things”? I am sure a good theologian could tell us that lots of things physical and spiritual are excluded but I for one chose to believe the Bible. As we have already studied many times, we are joint-heirs with Christ, participants in common with Him of all. We also see that the Son had a pivotal role in the making of the worlds. The thoughts come from the Father, the Words come from the Son (the Word), and the Power from the Holy Spirit.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
