AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Wednesday – February 17, 2021, Adar 5, 5781
A FLAME OF FIRE
Greetings precious children of the Most High God, who is the only living God. We are the most blessed people ever and we are redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus. There has never been a people like the Church, the body of Christ, nor will there ever be again in ages to come. Welcome back to this engaging and empowering study of the Book of John. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of the Truth beyond that of Eastern Gate Ministries International alone. Thank you for taking a moment to share precious brother and sister. We are in an unusual time in history, at least in our memories, as I write this on the 18th of January. Some 25,000 national guard troop are being deployed to Washington DC to secure the seat of our government and the Presidential inaugural site. I don’t recall any time when this has happened for any reason.
Many demonic strategies are at work in our nation to tear it apart, all allowed and even empowered by the Church at large. Will the Church at large, the traditional organized Church awaken or will it be as in the beginning of the Church when a “Rising Remnant” turned the world upside down? These strategies of the demonic powers may seem to be working for the moment but in the end, darkness never triumphs over light. A light is arising dear ones and we stand at the dawn of a great in gathering of souls and a day of the glory of God that will eclipse the first century. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud. How does faith come?
John 20:17-19 (KJV)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Jesus has just emerged from the tomb and Mary Magdalene has an amazing encounter with the Risen Lord. She understandably clings to His feet. He is taking His precious Blood to the Mercy Seat of Heaven and leading those captive for a season in the Bosom of Abraham on to Heaven, the first wave of the First Resurrection. When all hope seemed to have been dashed love remained and Mary Magdalene is the first to fall at the feet of our Risen Savior. Can you imagine what must have been going on in this girl’s mind, it had to be thrilling and overwhelming all at once. Notice the amazing statement Jesus makes to Mary. He speaks of the Father as His Father, He speaks of the disciples (and us) as brethren, and the Father as His God and our God.
Romans 8:29-30 (KJV)
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
We are in the image and likeness of Jesus, the risen Christ. The only thing lacking is our glorified body and it is coming very soon!
Romans 8:23 (KJV)
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Now, let’s turn if only momentarily to the words the Father spoke in the Restoration of the Word.
Hebrews 1:5-8 (KJV)
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
All the angels, as do we, worship the Risen Christ, and the angels, flames of fire (pure and holy) minister on behalf of Jesus and our behalf as well. They wait attentively for the Word of God on His lips and ours.
Psalm 103:20 (KJV)
20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
