THY THRONE O GOD IS FOREVER

Greetings precious children of the Most High God, Who is the only living God. We are the most blessed people ever and we are redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus. There has never been a people like the Church, the body of Christ, nor will there ever be again in ages to come. Welcome back to this engaging and empowering study of the Book of John. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of the Truth beyond that of Eastern Gate Ministries International alone. Thank you for taking a moment to share precious brother and sister. The featured picture today is of Donna and me in a warmer season of the year. We are in an unusual time in history, at least in our memories, as I write this on the 18th of January. Some 25,000 national guard troop are being deployed to Washington DC to secure the seat of our government and the Presidential inaugural site. I don’t recall any time when this has happened for any reason.
Many demonic strategies are at work in our nation to tear it apart, all allowed and even empowered by the Church at large. Will the Church at large, the traditional organized Church awaken or will it be as in the beginning of the Church when a “Rising Remnant” turned the world upside down? These strategies of the demonic powers may seem to be working for the moment but in the end, darkness never triumphs over light. A light is arising dear ones and we stand at the dawn of a great ingathering of souls and a day of the glory of God that will eclipse the first century. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud. How does faith come?
John 20:17-19 (KJV)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Before we move forward with our primary Bible text let’s return to our secondary text from the Book of Hebrews. Here in the first chapter of Hebrews, we find at least some of the words uttered by the Father when He raised Jesus from the dead, both spiritual and physical death. Jesus, the Word, was restored fully as God (second person of the Triune Co-equal God) and given an incorruptible body. This body is like unto Adam’s except it is devoid of Blood, the Blood was shed in the redemption of mankind. Before His final ascension to the right hand of the Father Jesus referred to Himself as having a flesh and bone body (Luke 24:39).
Hebrews 1:5-8 (KJV)
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
The Father refers to Jesus, the Son, as God and as having a throne, and that throne is forever. The scepter (sceptre old English spelling) is a symbol of authority and power. The Father tells Him and us that this is a sceptre of righteousness. Jesus is the only one able to establish us in a right relationship with the Father, with God. The Kingdom of Jesus’ rule is the kingdom of righteousness or of those walking in the righteousness He provided. As I end for today let’s peek ahead into Hebrews 1:9.
Hebrews 1:9 (KJV)
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Do we love right standing with the Father and seek to maintain that standing at all costs? Do we hate iniquity or do we give it a nod and a wink? Who are “thy fellows”? It is you and me!
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
