LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH
Wednesday – April 26, 2017

Thank you Lord for another day to fight the good fight of faith. It is a good fight for we are more than conquerors. You would think the devil would get fed up with losing. He is a determined adversary and unfortunately due to poor teaching and poor modeling in the Church and in the body of Christ he and his minions win way more than they lose. When will we the people of God get serious about the Word of God and not just look at our salvation as a ticket to Heaven, a fire escape? I will now pick up our Bible Study in Ephesians and the whole armour of God.
Ephesians 6:13-18 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
I was struck this morning as I was highlighting the Scriptures for our study in my Bible Program to bring into my Word program that it started with thirteen the number of depravity and rebellion and ended with eighteen the number of bondage. Without the whole armour of God our current position and future is depravity, rebellion, and bondage. In between these numbers is deliverance, provision, love, and victory. Which will we choose this day? Please do not get the idea that depravity is the poor man or woman on the corner selling their body for cocaine, or the only the openly rebellious people who are those shaking their fist at God, or that the only people in bondage are the women of Islam. Some of the people in the deepest of depravity, rebellion, and bondage are those who appear or sound the most religious. Real depravity, rebellion, and bondage which is a stench in the nostrils of God is one of His who walks in deep deception by choice. You might ask, well who would do that? Tens of millions in the Church are in this very position due to the doctrine of demons being preached in Churches around the world. For example the traditions of men are devoid the power of God and are a deception of our spiritual enemies, a doctrine of demons.
As I have discussed at length we are commanded to take to ourselves the whole armour of God. We are not to pick and choose among the seven facets for what we think is the appropriate piece of armour. These seven aspects, facets, of the armour are to operate as a unified whole. Various types of workmen wear these garments that cover the whole body so that they are protected from their work environment, so it is with the armour of God. Actually the whole armour of God is more like a hazmat suit with nothing showing or exposed to our environment (the world). A little bit of contamination (lie of the devil) can corrupt the whole person like leaven in bread. Let’s take a look at the first piece of armour found in the verse of deliverance, salvation (fourteen). Remember The Truth makes us free (John 8:32).
John 8:31-32 (KJV)
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
To continue in something is to abide, dwell, and stand, in this case the Word of God. What does the Truth make us free from if we dwell, abide, and stand with it? It will make us free of sin and hence the curse.
John 8:34-36 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Thank you, thank you Jesus!
Ephesians 6:14 (KJV)
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Our first command and first aspect of the whole armour we will consider is that of having our loins girt about with truth. The loins are where we might say today our “private parts” are located. You will notice on the Roman Soldier that there is a heavy metal covering of that area. Our private parts is the area of waste elimination and reproduction. Both are at the foundation of our spiritual and natural lives. I will pick-up right here tomorrow Lord willing.
Please receive the Blessing.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
