MORE GIRTING OF THE LOINS
Thursday – April 27, 2017

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from Patti and me at The Three Minute Word publications. God is so very good. Patti and I want you, our partners and friends to know how much we appreciate you and give thanks to God for you. Okay, back to our Bible Study in the Book of Ephesians and the command to girt our loins.
Ephesians 6:13-18 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
You may be wondering about this word ‘girt’ since it is not a word used commonly or at all in this modern era. The word ‘girt’ means to wrap all the way around. Much like a belt or a skirt that a woman would put on by wrapping about and fastening. A garment that completely covers and protects the areas of elimination and productivity. Look at this fourteenth verse in the Holman Christian Standard Bible.
Ephesians 6:14 (HCSB)
14 Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest,
A belt is not worn by itself but is a device that holds up a pair of pants or a skirt completely covering and protecting the areas of elimination and productivity. Waste in the natural did not occur until sin and with it the curse. There is no waste, no toilets in Heaven. With the advent of waste came the need to properly deal with it and dispose of it. Without proper waste disposal, the curse (sickness and disease) becomes more rampant. The same is true in the spiritual realm. In fact you probably realize that if it were not for sin there would be no waste at all neither in the spiritual or natural realms. I think we are all too aware of natural waste and the need to deal with it. Spiritual waste is just as putrid as natural waste. Spiritual waste is any thoughts, words, and actions that are not of God.
In this physical realm men and women are productive together with the capacity to reproduce themselves, spirit, soul, and body. Women produce eggs or ovum which is the receptacle designed to receive the seed (sperm) of the man. When the sperm penetrates and becomes one with the ovum a new person is conceived and brought into the natural and spiritual realms or realities. Spiritual productivity results in the diminishment of the curse and the expansion of the Blessing. The seeds of spiritual productivity starts with the Word of God and is directly proportional to how much our thoughts, words, and actions are congruent with the Word of God. Do you remember The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13, Mark 4)? If not I suggest you take the time to review it and reflect upon what Jesus is saying. Good ground as noted in the Parable of the Sower is one who receives the Word of God and makes it their own. In that process their thoughts, words, were God’s. The differences in productivity of thirty, sixty, or one hundred fold was not just luck of the draw but it was the extent to which they received and employed the seed, the Word of God.
I hope that this idea of waste or reproductive capacity is clear. I pray that the Lord cause us all to see these things clearly. Now let’s talk about the Truth for a moment before I end for today. I have taught on ‘the Truth’ many times but we must be diligent not to let any of the Truth slip away.
Hebrews 2:1 (KJV)
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
In a nutshell the Truth is the Word of God, Jesus is the Truth, the Holy Spirit is the Truth, and Love is Truth. Let’s review the relevant Scriptures as I close and we will pick-up with these tomorrow the Lord willing.
John 17:17 (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Psalm 119:142 (KJV)
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
If we boil this down to its essence, the Truth, is the uncorrupted Word of God, period.
Please receive the Blessing.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
