RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER

Welcome back to our Bible Study presented by Dr. Wood through The Three Minute Word. God is so good. Thought you might enjoy a shot of two hanging planters with Black Eyed Susans just out our front door at the Condo. Now let’s return to our primary and secondary texts to continue this study. God is so good.
Hebrews 2:4 (KJV)
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
When we give heed, and do not neglect this great salvation which is ours at no cost to us, God, according to His will, will confirm His Word with signs and wonders, miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit. This of course this is wonderful for us but just think of the wonder of it for the recipients of our obedience. Our secondary text amplifies and confirmes our study in Hebrews.
Mark 16:15-20 (KJV)
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Yesterday we briefly looked at what was lost in the Garden and replaced with the curse and how Jesus got it all back and freely once again gave it to us who will believe. We discussed the loss of authority and power through sin and how we got it back when Jesus dealt with sin. Today I will discuss the eternal commandments of God of which there are seven.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Genesis 2:15-17 (KJV)
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
These are eternal commands, however man’s capacity to accomplish them was a severely compromised until Calvary but now the believer can do these without breaking a sweat in Christ Jesus. No power, none, can stand before the Church of Jesus Christ, or before the individual believer in Jesus name. This is wonderful news saints of God, so why do we keep knuckling under to the wiles of the devil? If every knee has to bow to Christ Jesus, they (evil forces, the curse, not people) bow to us for we are in Christ Jesus.
After Jesus had given the disciples His parting instructions, renewed the authority and power given in the beginning, He was received into Heaven and sat down at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19).
Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Jesus by His work at Calvary purged (eliminated, removed, eradicated, expunged, pardoned, and cleansed) our sins. We commonly hear Christians inviting non-Christians to confess their sins and receive Jesus as Savior. Is that really Biblical? Short answer is no. Read the verse (Hebrews 1:3 again). Once we are born again, if we transgress God’s law we must confess our sin to Him and he is faithful and just to cleanse us of our sin (1 John 1:9). There is precedence for this under the Old Covenant. Once a year the High Priest would enter into the Most Holy Place with the blood of an innocent animal atoning for his sins and the sins of the people for a one-year period on the Day of Atonement. However, if a person sinned between times they were required to bring a sin offering to the priest. Our High Priest is Jesus, if and when we sin (does not need to be inevitable), we confess the sin and repent before Him, and He will be faithful and just to forgive our sin. Now back to being seated at the right hand of Majesty on high. Not only is Jesus seated there at the throne of Grace, but we are seated there with and in Him.
Ephesians 2:5-8 (KJV)
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Yes, we can be in two places simultaneously with no loss of authority or power in either position. As you will recall, Jesus is seated in this exalted position and us with Him until all His enemies (and our enemies) are made His footstool. Brother and sister, we have some work to do and we have a superabundance of authority and power to get it done. We have the subjugating authority and power, what is the holdup?
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
