AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE JUDGEMENT
Wednesday – December 5, 2018, Kislev 27, 5779

Greetings dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. The Lord is so good unto all! We are a blessed, the Blessing is in us, all over us, and with us, people. We are not living even close to what Jesus paid for on the Cross! He has given us life, that is “zoe” life, which is life at the level that God has life. Let us determine right now in our hearts as we read this that we are coming up in Him. We are going to choose to hear, believe, and take all corresponding actions to make our life a living example of Him. Dear saints of God, Jesus was not poor, and He was not sick and neither are we to be poor or sick. We are not to be poor or sick spirit, soul, or body. Jesus paid it all that we can live as He lives, not just in the sweet by and by but right now upon the earth! If you are receiving this teaching on Facebook don’t forget to hit the “like” and “share” buttons. Hope that you enjoy the featured picture today, a fall scene from a few years ago. Now let’s prepare to dive into our wonderful Bible Study from the Book of John by first reading our primary text.
John 5:24-28 (KJV)
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
As the life giver, eternal life by His precious Blood, as a partaker in the human experience, the Son of man is given authority (dominion) to execute or pronounce judgement. Notice in verse twenty-seven it is because He is the Son (capital S indicating divinity returning after the Resurrection) of man. We studied just a few verses ago that all judgment was given to the Son and we looked at the Bema or Judgement Seat of Christ and at the White Throne Judgement both of which seem to be presided over by the Son of God (Spirit), the Son of man (body). By the way we also are sons of God and sons of man. In verse twenty-eight we come to a command from the Master, “to marvel not”. To marvel is to wonder about or to be astonished by a thing. Wondering and being astonished do not place one in a position to hear, believe, or take the needed corresponding action (develop and act on faith). There are things we do not understand at first or fully about the Kingdom of God or what is said but that is not to say we should not embrace it fully hearing with the purpose to believe and do.
Jesus said that “all that are in the graves shall hear his voice” so does that exclude anyone? It excludes no one. So, let’s settle one thing right now, there is no such thing as soul sleep. Soul sleep says that when a person dies their soul (really spirit and soul) stays with the dead body and remains there awaiting the catching away or the White Throne Judgement. This is patently untrue and should have no place in our thinking. There are no spirits of dead persons wandering the earth or haunting homes. For the Christian to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (our soul and spirit) in Heaven. For the unsaved person to be absent the body is for the soul and spirit to be present in Hell. The physical body in both cases remains in the earth (in the grave) in one form or another. So, Jesus is talking about calling forth the bodies of the saint and sinner alike at the appointed times. As we are winding down for today let’s move forward in our text.
John 5:28-32 (KJV)
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
We will pick up more on this tomorrow the Lord willing but the calling forth of persons from the grave occurs at more than one time and are divided into the first and second resurrections. We have discussed previously that there appear to be three waves of the first resurrection which is only of the saints of God. The first wave occurred when Jesus was Resurrected from the dead. The second wave will occur at the Catching Away, and the third wave at the end of the Tribulation period. The wicked dead are not resurrected until the end of the millennial reign. Remember the righteous at physical death go on to Heaven, the unrepentant sinner or wicked to Hell.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
