Greetings dear partners and friends and welcome back to this wonderfully powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. This spring – summer picture today is presented to encourage the folks that live here in Maine. Also, if you are seeing this on Facebook please “like” and “share”. Our God is so good to us dear and precious saints of God. He has given us His very own light that we need not walk in darkness and stumble. The Anointed Word of God is a light for our feet giving us boundaries, safety.
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
As we move forward in our primary Bible Text please do not loose sight of the fact that before Jesus was in the earth, He was the Word, the second person, or co-equal person of God. Jesus has pointed out to those listening that Moses spoke of Him, they claim to believe Moses but don’t recognize Him of whom Moses spoke. Now, let’s read our text.
John 8:10-14 (KJV)
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
The Word, the whole Word of God has been bearing record of Him from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 literally. Moses wrote the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible which is the primary source of Truth for the Jews.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The word “God” here is a plural word ‘Elohim’ which is speaking of Jehovah, Word, and Holy Spirit. Today (since the womb of Mary) we would say Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The following verse is not ambiguous at all referring directly to Christ Jesus. Refers to Him as Lord which is the one of superior authority concerning the body of Christ. Authority means direction is given and the one receiving the direction choses (freewill) to follow or not. The “grace” is another name of the Holy Spirit, another aspect of manifestation, which is also the Glory (manifested to the physical senses, the presence and goodness) of God. In effect saying that the same grace that was upon and with Jesus is the same grace upon and with us.
Revelation 22:21 (KJV)
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
So, when the Jews say that He, Christ Jesus, the one standing in front of them is His only witness that is disingenuous for Moses spoke (prophecy) and wrote of Him, and so do the Prophetic Books speak of Christ Jesus, the Messiah. Christ Jesus as the Word (before the womb of Mary) is the One who gave the very Words to Moses that Moses recorded. All of creation and the Word of God shouts about the Messiah, Christ Jesus. The Word speaks in the Garden of Eden about the coming Messiah and the Jews have indeed been looking for Him and are still looking for Him. Listen to what the Word says to the serpent as well as Adam and Eve in the Garden on the Day of Sin and Death.
Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV)
14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The word ‘seed’ in both instances in verse fourteen is masculine and singular, the word ‘it’ should be ‘He’ referring to the seed of the woman which is Christ, the Word become flesh. The bruising of the head has to do with getting the authority (dominion) given man and surrendered to Satan being regained. These religious leaders had more than enough Scripture to establish that this man was the Messiah but they were blinded by Satan and their own ambitions. Like us sometimes when the thing we are believing for first presents we are baffled for we switch from Spirit led to carnal led and perhaps miss the provision, the goodness of God all together. They are already all worked up and then He goes on and says you guys don’t have a clue where I came from and not a clue where I am going from here. The scribes and pharisees think he is of the devil, a law breaker, and they are filled with anger and envy for the people are flocking to Him and not them.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
