I AM ONE AND THE FATHER IS THE SECOND WITNESS
Thursday – March 14, 2019, Adar B 7, 5779

Another summer scene to encourage the folks reading this here in Maine. As beautiful as the winter scenes may be, we all look forward to the change of season and a new beauty. Greetings to all and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook take just a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons. Thank you. Sharing with your friends expands the reach of this ministry many times. Now, let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study by first reading our primary Bible Text aloud.
John 8:15-21 (KJV)
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
In our text Jesus is saying that He does not judge (pass judgment by declaring a consequence) anyone, but if He did, the judgement would be true or right because He would not be passing judgement alone but in concert with the Father. He goes on to remind them that the Law required the testimony of two men to be true which I have talked about in prior teachings. Even our laws today which are based for the most part on God’s laws require two or more witnesses. I have talked before how each of us pass judgement on ourselves (March 11, 2019). At the Judgement Seat of Christ and the White Throne Judgement is where the details are worked out not the general sentence which is Heaven or Hell. Each of us by our acceptance or rejection of Christ Jesus judge and pass judgement on ourselves. If you will study verses 15 and 16 in our text above you will find that the word ‘judge’ in all three cases means to condemn and the word ‘judgement’ in verse 16 has to do with administering justice. The important take away here is that Christ Jesus condemns no one, period. I hear many Christians glibly condemn others to a certain outcome like a certain person is going to Hell for this or that reason. If Jesus didn’t do it neither should we. We are to judge all things (words) but we are not to pass judgement (consequences) of the thing concerning a person. When we judge ourselves, we are to determine sin or not and repent or not. In so doing we have judged and have passed judgement for like it or not we don’t set the standard or bar, it is an unmoving unyielding bar already set by God, God’s law is just without favoritism.
Before we leave this section of Scripture, I want to bring something to your attention the Holy Spirit brought to mine. Jesus said that He only said what the Father said, and He only did what He saw the Father do, and the Father did the works. Do we see this same thing in the following passage as it relates to our Kingdom work?
Mark 16:19-20 (KJV)
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
What did they, what do we preach? The Word of God, not a corrupted version. What got confirmed, the people, or the Word? The Word was confirmed by the signs that occurred in response to the Word. This was Anointed Word. It is Anointed when it is directed of the Father, what we see the Father doing, and the Anointing (on behalf of the Father) does the works or confirms the Word. You hear (read) me saying over and over what Jesus said about how our ministry is to look like His but will include even greater works.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Wow, the Word of God is just wonderful! Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
