OF THIS WORLD – NOT OF THIS WORLD
Thursday – March 21, 2019, Adar B 14, 5779
Greetings precious partners and friends of Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication. God is so good, highly valued saints of God. In just a moment we will jump right back into our Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons. Sharing expands the reach of this ministry tremendously. God has called me to speak predominately to the Church and the Church desperately needs the unfiltered, uncorrupted Truth. Now let us go to our primary Bible text reading it aloud.
John 8:20-23 (KJV)
20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
As you will recall I left off on Tuesday with Jesus telling the religious ruling class of His day that they are going to die in their sin and are not on there way to Heaven. You can see why He was not a big hit with the scribes and pharisees. He has been telling them that they do not know His Father for if they did, they would recognize and accept Him. Keep in mind that the one we call Father today is Jehovah and this is who they talked about all the time. So, we see it is possible to talk about someone, even teach about someone, and not recognize them standing right in front of us. By this time, they have tortured (corrupted) the Scripture for the purpose of exerting power, control, over the people, teaching the traditions of men, and the doctrines of demons. Dear saints especially spiritual leaders, it is the same today. However, it is going to change, God will have a people, will you be one of them, or a curious and skeptical bystander at a distance? Let us all consider the following passage and Jesus’ critique of the religious leaders of that day. Are you thinking we are somehow different? Are we seeing the same number of supernatural events in our churches as the synagogues’ which was zero? So, what is the problem? The problems are myriad but there is a remnant that is arising.
Matthew 16:1-4 (KJV)
1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
Before the sign comes faith, love, and obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. There is only one possible outcome for the person in Bible faith under girded by love (Greek – agape), and led of the Holy Spirit. That one possible outcome is the Bible result, the blessing, and NOT the curse. Let us consider ourselves and repent, arise, and start walking the triumphant life which is designed for us by God.
Now, lets look back at our text and pick up in verse twenty-two. Here we see that Jesus is having a spiritual conversation and the Jews are having a natural, carnal conversation. Let us examine ourselves and be sure we are seeing clearly in the spiritual realm for our physical is totally dependent upon it without exception. Then Jesus tells them in the next verse that He is from above and they are from beneath. In short, He is referring to the reality that He came down from Heaven and they are of the earth. Adam and Eve at their making were living souls as was Jesus the last Adam, all others are conceived as dead souls and become living souls at salvation. Those three persons (Adam, Eve, (perhaps others, and Jesus) were of earth and of Heaven but primarily of Heaven since the spiritual realm is dominate over the physical. The religious people throw a fit when I say this but we who are born again are of Heaven and of earth as well in Christ Jesus. Our spirit man is in two places simultaneously, the Throne of Heaven and our bodies. At salvation we were raised and seated there in Christ Jesus and are on assignment from Heaven as ambassadors to reconcile others to the Father. An ambassador by definition is from elsewhere and is in a foreign land, we are from Heaven and the foreign land is this earth, the world systems.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
