BRINGING FORTH FRUIT
Tuesday – August 27, 2019, Av 26, 5779

Greetings my dear partners and friends of this Ministry and this blog and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook, please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to provide feedback to us and to further the spread of the Truth. God is so good, and He is nothing but good. The featured picture is of the beautiful bay seen from Archer’s on the Pier in Rockland. We must not shrink away from the Cross, the Resurrection, and all that is in between for they are the very apparent goodness, the glory, of God. Jesus took away the sins of the world taking away death and giving eternal life, taking away the curse and giving the blessing. The essential component is that we must be wholly His and not turn aside to other gods. Meditate on the follow before we delve into our lesson.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
Is this confusing to anyone? Does everyone see their part in receiving the blessings or the curses? If we are walking in nothing but blessings, we have not turned aside to other gods but if the curse is in our lives we have turned aside to other gods. You may have just said it is not possible to walk in only the blessing to which I would respond, hogwash. Did Jesus walk in only the blessing or were curses present in His earthly ministry? I sure hope you got this right, He walked in only blessings. Jesus was sinless. Someone may say we can’t be sinless after salvation, is that the Truth or is the truth that we don’t want to be sinless? Didn’t Jesus say that the things He did we shall do also? I guess I am still on a bit of a rant. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text from the Book of John reading it aloud.
John 12:23-26 (KJV)
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
As we examine our text in verse twenty-four, we find Jesus giving a physical example of a spiritual truth. Many try to completely separate the physical from the spiritual saying they have nothing to do with one another, nothing could be further from the truth. Scripture tells us that we can better understand the spiritual by understanding this natural world.
Romans 1:20 (AMP)
20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],
Jesus tells us that a seed is unfruitful until it be sown and die. When a natural seed is planted, sown, into the ground it ceases to exist as a single seed, it dies, and becomes a beautiful plant bearing much fruit. The fruit has its seed within itself as we saw in the Genesis account. The seed being sown in this case is Jesus and look at all the fruit! You and I are a part of that fruit. Without Jesus being sown our salvation with all the wonderful and eternal things it entails was not possible. Unless we sow ourselves we cannot reach the full potential God created us to attain.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
