JUDGMENT OF THIS WORLD

Greetings to the precious partners and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word Blog. Also, welcome back to this empowering (to the extent we choose) Bible Study of the Book of John. Of course, these buildings are not the Church, we the people of God are the Church, in fact we the Church are the governing body in the earth. When will that dawn on the Church? Now, let’s turn our attention to todays Bible Study by turning our attention to the primary Bible text and reading it aloud.
John 12:28-34 (KJV)
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
As we pick up the narrative of the last five days of Jesus’ ministry upon the earth as an Anointed man, we find Him telling us that this is the time for “judgment of this world”. As we explore this statement let’s start with the definition of the words “judgment” and “world”. First let’s deal with the word “judgment”. According to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary this word means decision (subject or object, for or against); by extension a tribunal; by implication justice (especially divine law), accusation, condemnation, damnation, and judgment. One of the ways I like to look at this word in Scripture is as the bringing of justice. Jesus is saying that the time has come for justice concerning the world systems, it is time for certain actions to occur, principally for those who serve God. We are immediately told that the prince of this world (the devil) is being cast out and that will be possible by the Cross (verse thirty-two).
God does not just do any old thing any old time whenever He feels like it. God is a God of justice and He has established spiritual (and physical) laws and He follows them just as He expects us to follow them. To violate spiritual or physical law has consequences. In the physical, I don’t care how much you think you can fly; you are headed to the ground if you jump from a height. The height determines the consequences. It could cost a person their life. Now think spiritual, is satisfying the flesh and not the Spirit worth our physical life and perhaps our spiritual life? This is premature physical death, leaving undone many works prepared for us from the foundation of the world. Do you suppose there are any consequences for this?
The world is the world systems, spheres of influence, or pillars of society established by God and a reflection of the same pillars that have existed in Heaven from eternity past. This systems have been perverted by wicked people (sinner and saint alike) as they are deceived by the Serpent and these things will be judged. The peoples in those systems that provide order and boundaries have distorted the will of God on purpose contrary to the Word of God and according to the desires of the fallen nature (flesh), the deceptions of the Devil. Yes, there is order and systems in Heaven, it is not a free for all. Before we move forward let’s look at a definition of the word “world” from the Greek. According to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary the world is the orderly arrangements upon the earth which function due to the will of the people in the various spheres of influence or pillars. In case you are new to these teachings or need a refreshing let’s look at these pillars or spheres of influence.
Proverbs 9:1 (KJV)
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Wisdom is a spiritual force and the word is female in gender telling us that wisdom can bear fruit given the right seed. What will the fruit be? Will we receive the dark wisdom of wickedness in the world and bear stealing, killing, and destroying or will we receive wisdom from above, express the Word of God, and receive abundance and advance the Kingdom of God? As an aside, be very aware but not as a primary motive, that when we are about the business of the Kingdom, God is about our business! Now let’s review the seven pillars or spheres of influence. They are generally thought to be religion, government, media/information, education/science, business/finance, family, and arts/entertainment. Currently all of us are in a minimum of three of these to some degree. The three being religion, family and one other according to your job (job calling). Many persons are not in the occupation, part of commerce, to which God equipped and called them but in a job of their own choice according to their own understanding. All of this is being judged. Don’t get into condemnation, get right. It is never too late for repentance and forgiveness so long as we are in the earth.
