WALK IN THE LIGHT
Monday – September 9, 2019, Elul 9, 5779

Greeting partners and friends of this Ministry and welcome back to this engaging Bible Study of the Book of John. The featured pictures this week will include Donna’s raised garden. She has had a ball with it, we both have enjoyed it say nothing of the fresh vegetable. The picture today is of the beginning of the garden on the 27th of May. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give Donna and me feedback and to spread the good news. Now let’s delve as deep as the Holy Spirit will take us today into our study. First let’s read our primary text aloud.
John 12:34-36 (KJV)
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Our God is so good to reveal Himself to us in many ways including the physical creation and the Word of God. We are indeed a privileged, loved, and empowered people. I ended last week (Friday) discussing the thirty-fourth verse above which confirms the Old Testament writings that the Christ, the Messiah, is an eternal Messiah. The sacrifice, the Blood is an eternal sacrifice, an eternal shedding of Blood, we will never be without the Blood or the testimony of salvation and forgiveness.
Hebrews 9:11-14 (KJV)
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Thank you, Christ Jesus, for obtaining an eternal redemption (verse twelve) for all who will receive redemption. Twelve is the number of God’s perfect government. From the Day of Sin and Death to the Resurrection morning and the Day of the Feast of Pentecost (Acts two) the people of God had a very limited ability to govern the earth but now we are the governing body in submission to our Lord Jesus, the Father, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We are not at any time to think that we are being swept along by events; we are to create the events. The seven mandates of creation, the original intent of God, are not only in full force today but we have full authority and access to the Power of God to accomplish them overwhelmingly and abundantly. None of us should be thinking about any kind of limitations in discharging our responsibilities in the Kingdom of God nor in the reaping of the benefits of the Kingdom of God.
The attaining too and walking in these things (life without limit) is totally dependent upon our walking in the light and not in the darkness. If we are not walking in these things then we are in darkness and we need to fervently seek God and the Word of God to walk in the light. Much of what is called light in the Church today is darkness and maintains the body of Christ in bondage. The proof is in the fruit of our lives. One reading this may be thinking that a life without limit in the earth today is not possible. Well, that will come as a surprise to the Lord.
Matthew 17:20 (KJV)
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Do you suppose that Jesus is just pulling our leg here when He says that with faith “nothing shall be impossible unto you”? In the preceding passage there is only one option given to the mountain and that was to move to another place. The mountain was not given multiple options but one. The mountain is any hindrance in our lives, anything that is hindering the will of God in our lives and anything outside of the will of God. Anything other than the will of God is darkness and not light. Other options are darkness and not light. As I finish for today consider the following verses.
Job 22:27-29 (KJV)
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow with more about the light.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
