KNOWING AND DOING THE WORD BRINGS HAPPINESS
Tuesday – October 15, 2019, Tishrei 16, 5780

Greetings friends, sons and daughters of the Father and kings in the Kingdom of God under the authority or Lordship of Christ Jesus. Each of us are freewill creations who by our own will subject ourselves to the will of God. God has never made anyone do anything and never will. Each of us choose our own course, it can be wonderous according to His will in the Kingdom or it can be disastrous going our own way. One may be thinking, well my life is not disastrous, what about when you compare it to what is possible in the perfect will of God?
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus did not come to give us poverty of any kind in this world or that which is to come, it is His covenant that we be wealthy (yes, in property and cash) and that we walk in supernatural health free of the curse. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to partner with us in the spread of the gospel. The featured pictures this week are scenic shots in the Ocean Point area on the coast of Maine. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today.
John 13:16-17 (KJV)
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
As you will recall last week, we studied about the servant which is what we are by choice. The Old Testament saints were servants for they could not be sons due to being dead spiritually. Even in that fallen state God made abundant provision for those that would worship Him. We, in the New Testament, with the expunging (obliterate, purge, erase, delete, wipe out, rub out, or edit out) of sin by the precious Blood of Jesus are restored to the family and are again one with Him in Christ Jesus. You will recall that Jesus gave the command that we were to do the things He did as an Anointed man in the earth. We also are Anointed with the very same Anointing and are well equipped to do the things He did and the greater things. This Anointing makes us equal with the Master in His earthly ministry.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Do I, do you, believe upon Jesus? This doing as Jesus did is not relegated to a special group of people like our Pastors and so on but to you and me. When we think and talk like this the enemy will immediately bring accusations and doubt and even from others especially people close to us. We must not think it strange when it is those closest to us who are at variance with the call of God in our lives.
Matthew 10:33-38 (KJV)
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
These are things to consider and obey with the highest priority of diligence. Of course, we can form our own theology and go our own way, the way of our emotions and understanding, but only destruction awaits us. We may not be diligent but the devil is ever diligent and he is looking to steal, kill, and destroy in our lives. If we want the abundant life and to see our children, our families in glory (Heaven) we need to get right up close to the Savior and put Him, His Word, in first place by a country mile. As I prepare to close for today let’s spend a moment on verse seventeen of our primary text.
John 13:16-17 (KJV)
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Jesus says that if we who are servants by choice know and do the things that make us equal with the Master (John 14:12) we will be happy. Knowing and doing of course are two very different things. Do we want to be happy? Obedience to the Word of God never has an adverse outcome although we commonly imagine that it does. We are a rebellious and perverse generation, let us repent, shake these thing off and walk in triumph. Let’s take a look at the word ‘happy’ before we close. According to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary this Greek word translated as “happy” means to be supremely blest; by extension fortunate, well off, and blessed. I don’t know about you, but this all seems good to me and well worth pursuing.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
