COMMAND THE THING
Tuesday – November 12, 2019, Cheshvan 14, 5780
Greeting wonderfully precious saints of the Most High God. Oh, how good is our God who has redeemed us from the curse and has seated us with Him in Christ Jesus in the Heavenly place. The pictures this week are of various landscapes here in Maine and Friday as usual will be my precious Donna and me. Although we walk by spiritual faith and not by physical sight God, our Father, has given us the Word of God which is our spiritual light (sight) to keep us safe and on His path for us. Storms will come but we must fight to not let them in. We may feel fear, it is a good warning, but we must not speak fear or act upon the feeling of fear, both are our choice. Fear brings torment, we turn our attention and trust to Jesus who brings love and comfort. Now let’s continue our study of the Bible Book of John and let’s read our primary text aloud as we start.
John 14:12-15 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Today I will move forward in our study by completing the ideas (Truths) we were reviewing yesterday. This may be new to some but I review these things frequently in these teaching because without the Truth we remain powerless and defeated. There is much talk about God being in control of everything going on in the earth and that is a falsehood that keeps the Church in bondage. The overarching plan of God in the earth will be accomplish although hindered at times. The overarching plan of God is things like the first coming of Christ, the Second Coming of Christ, the one-thousand-year reign of Christ and so on. However, in our individual lives, He has a plan and it is a great plan, but we and we alone decide how much of it we will allow in our lives. We decide to be saved or not, and when saved how much of the Covenant of God, which is over the top wonderful, we want in our lives.
The sovereignty of God is a term loosely thrown around. To be a sovereign only means that you are the one with the highest authority. Just as parents exercise authority in the home, Jesus exercises authority in the Church, but like the child in the home we in the Church decide to do or not. If we do there is reward, if we don’t there are consequences. God will not make anyone do anything and the devil cannot make anyone do anything. We are freewill creatures. So, let’s not be slack (lazy, inefficient, negligent, sloppy or slovenly) anymore concerning the things of God and align with Him and get this thing done. Just to bring us into synch, alignment, with one another recall that I am talking about verse twelve in our primary Bible text and understanding that to do what Jesus did and the greater things we are going to have to do it His way. Exactly as Jesus did things and the Prophets before Him did things is how it will be done for eternity and is how we must do it now. May as well learn it now and move forward pleasing the Father. Let’s not arrive red faced in Heaven. Look again at the first demonstration of how to get things done supernaturally.
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
It is by decreeing the will of God. When we do God releases whatever Power is needed to bring it to pass. The Word of God, the will of God, must be spoken in faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit. There is no alternate path, period. Jesus tells us repeatedly and demonstrates that He only said what the Father said, did what He saw the Father doing, and the Father did the Works. In other words, saying the will of God according to the ways of God releases the supernatural Power of God.
Mark 4:39 (ESV)
39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Where is the begging and the asking of the Father to do this thing? One of the original mandates of God given man was the authority to subdue the earth. We do that supernaturally in the will of God as in this case above. We have the same authority. Why are there no men or women of God commanding these devastating storms to be still? The short answer is that this is not taught and so we are mired in unbelief as to our authority to do it. Instead we see these great calls for prayer across the nation which always fail but no one seems to notice. It is as if they expect the prayer to fail but get some comfort of having done something. Where is our victory, where is our testimony? Why are we not doing the things Jesus did and the greater things? Unbelief! Consider the following before I leave you for today.
Mark 5:41 (KJV)
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
Where is the begging, the asking the Father to do this thing? Jesus said the things I do you shall do! Dear saints let’s get about the Father’s business.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
