JUST AS HE DID
Monday – November 11, 2019, Cheshvan 13, 5780

Greeting wonderfully precious saints of the Most High God. Oh, how good is our God who has redeemed us from the curse and has seated us with Him in Christ Jesus in the Heavenly place. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “love” and “share” buttons to do your part in expanding the reach of this Ministry. God is so good! The pictures this week will be of various landscapes here in Maine. This particular picture was taken by Donna’s sister at the Ocean in Wells. On Friday as usual the picture will be of my precious Donna and me. Although we walk by spiritual faith and not by physical sight, God our Father, has given us the Word of God which is spiritual light (sight) to keep us safe on His path for us. Storms will come but we must fight to not let them in. Fear will knock, will we resist or let it in? We may feel fear, it is a good warning, but we do not have speak fear or act upon fear, both are our choice. Now let’s continue our study of the Bible Book of John and let’s read our primary text aloud as we start.
John 14:12-15 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Today I will pick up briefly with verse twelve then we will move forward in our text. We are about to move into a few verses of Scripture that can be confusing if one does not use the full counsel of Scripture. Those of you who have followed these teaching for some period of time know that I refer to John 14:12 often. This verse, and other like verses should convict us and inspire us to move further and closer to the Master, to God. As we look at our primary Bible text we find Jesus telling the disciples present that day and His disciples this day (you and me) that whatever we ask in His name will be done for us. Those two verses are immediately followed by a verse that defines our love of God, of Jesus, which is to keep His commandments. Do we suppose that these verses are all connected and dependent upon one another? Short answer, yes!
In order to do the things, the mighty works and even greater works than Jesus did we must do what Jesus did, that is to say use His methods. So, how did Jesus do it? We will have to start in the beginning to fully answer this question. Before we proceed consider that the word “ask” has to do with placing a demand. Yes, it can mean to beg but there is no example in Holy Scripture of a person begging for something much less in the ministry of Jesus. Anything outside the Covenant (will of God) will not get answered by God ever, begging or no begging. Everything in the Covenant (will of God) is already ours and we only need to make a demand upon it in faith, motivated by love (agape), as led of the Holy Spirit.
John 16:15 (AMP)
15 Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
Everything or could we say all things that the Father has belong to Jesus and we are joint-heirs with Jesus and therefore all things are ours as well. We have free access to all, we just need to speak up in faith, motivated by love (agape), as led of the Holy Spirit. Never forget that this is a word created world and a word-maintained world. All things in our world has its existence or not dependent upon the thoughts of our mind and the words we speak in faith, whether they be good or bad. Our lives are not happenstance or luck (which is a myth). Initially our lives reflect the thoughts and words of those in authority over us coupled with the prayers of faith and love by others. At the age of understanding the course of our lives are determined by the thoughts and words of our own mouths. No other person has prevented anyone from achieving anything, it is we ourselves who determine the achievements of our lives, good or bad. So, as we start winding down for today let’s start our examination of how Jesus operated.
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Now don’t give me that whinny “that was God line”. It is the one we call Jesus speaking in Genesis 1:3 then (and now) known as the Word.
John 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word become flesh, flesh (physical body) just like us, not something like us, just like us.
John 1:14 (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Back to Genesis 1:3, the Word spoke and it was. This is the pattern for then, eternity past, today, and eternity future. Let’s think about why we don’t talk this way which is to declare (decree) the will of God.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
