THE WORK OF MY HANDS
Wednesday – November 13, 2019, Cheshvan 15, 5780

Greeting wonderfully precious saints of the Most High God. Oh, how good is our God who has redeemed us from the curse and has seated us with Him in Christ Jesus in the Heavenly place. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “love” and “share” buttons to do your part in expanding the reach of this Ministry. God is so good! The pictures this week are of various landscapes here in Maine and Friday as usual will be of my precious Donna and me. Although we walk by spiritual faith and not by physical sight, God our Father, has given us the Word of God which is spiritual light (sight) to keep us safe and on His path for us. It is our choice to stay on the path or walk in various temptations that will come. Storms will come but we must choose whether to allow the accompanying fear in or not. We will feel fear, it is a good warning that the thing is not of God, but we do not have speak fear or act upon the fear, both are our choice. Fear (of Satan) brings torment, Jesus brings love and comfort. Now let’s continue our study of the Bible Book of John and let’s read our primary text aloud as we start.
John 14:12-15 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
The title of yesterday’s lesson was “Command the Thing”. As we go forward in our study, I want to present three Scriptures which illuminate the necessity of commanding or decreeing the thing to be done. We go to prayer to determine what the Lord wants done then we decree the thing in faith, in love, as led of the Holy Spirit. In addition to these three Scriptures the Bible is replete with examples of the men and women of God doing the will of God by decree. Man exercise the authority and God exercises the Power in response to the exercise of authority.
Job 22:27-29 (KJV)
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
The preceding Scripture tells us to decree a thing and it shall be established then gives an example, how much clearer can it be? Consider the following Scripture.
Psalm 8:6 (KJV)
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
The Psalmist reminds us that we have authority (dominion) over the works of the hands of God. The hands of God are the supernatural powers of God supremely the Holy Spirit, but also the various types of angels. We have authority over these and they move in response to the Word of God in our mouths. Please take a moment to meditate on the following and we will resume tomorrow.
Isaiah 45:11 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
Here the LORD (Jehovah, our Heavenly Father) is telling us to ask about things to come concerning us (His sons) and to command Him, command those supernatural forces. Our Heavenly Father is saying command me, tell me what you want done. Remember, what we want done is what the Father wants done not something of our own will. All is done in faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit. Nothing gets done until we give Him our voice.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
