OBEDIENCE AND MANIFESTATION
Tuesday – December 24, 2019, Kislev 26, 5780

Greetings dear and precious partners and friends of this Ministry and publication and welcome back to this powerful and empowering Bible Study. It is Christmas Eve and a very busy time but hopefully we still find time for the Word of God. After all the Word of God is the reason for the season. Christmas means a celebration of the Christ. We are now very near the end of the year and I want you all to know that we are thankful for your friendship and partnership. We encourage those of you who have been praying about partnership with this ministry to take the step of faith either in your yearend giving or start fresh in 2020. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of this Ministry. The pictures this week are of various beautiful Churches we saw during a recent trip to Groton Massachusetts.
We also want the faithful to this Ministry to pray about two things as we approach and come into the new year. First, we are in the planning stage of a new arm of the Eastern Gate Ministries International to be called Sabbatical Moments which is designed to reach out to and encourage Pastors and wives (or husbands) who are discouraged. Second, we are also in the planning stages of a Women’s Conference to be conducted in late spring to early summer in partnership with two other ministries. The theme of the Women’s Conference is to be “The Virtuous Woman”. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of John and read it aloud.
John 14:21-23 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Today as we pick up our study that our love (agape) for God is expressed or evidenced by our obedience to the Word of God (commandments), I am going to take us to Deuteronomy chapter twenty-eight. I will be sharing a few examples from Scripture which amplify what Jesus is teaching but these are not even close to exhaustive on the subject. The whole of Scripture is a testimony of obedience bringing the manifestations of God into lives and disobedience bringing the curse, the manifestations of darkness. I don’t know about you but I want God on a fulltime manifestation extravaganza in my life. That requires me to be obedient fulltime and here is the rub. We sometimes (sometimes frequently) want to do what we want to do (walk after the flesh) or we don’t consult with God (seek to walk after the Spirit) at all before acting or speaking in some fashion. Sometimes we don’t ask ourselves as to whether or thoughts, words, and actions are Scriptural or more in line with the world which is the devil’s system. What importance or value do we place upon our thoughts, our words, and actions? Just how many people do we suppose have and are suffering grave consequences due to despising their own thoughts, words, and those of Scripture?
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Did you notice the word “if” in both verses? The word “if” presents us with a choice. Do you suppose all means nothing excluded? Most of us will read these verses and say; “thank you Jesus, “praise the Lord”, “hallelujah”, and “glory to God” with no thought as to what our part is in all of this. It is like a little dance, some contrition (regret, sorrow), a few songs, and a few I love you Lord, fixes all and brings full manifestation of God into our lives. All of these things are fine but are not what brings the manifestation of God into our lives. Obedience, doing the commandments, the whole Word of God brings manifestation. Are we diligently listening to the voice of God, which means to be focused with the intent to make it wholly our own and implement? Are we observing the Word of God with our eyes with the same intent? Are we then doing all that we hear and see? We don’t have to hunt down the blessing (Blessing) when we are diligently listening to the Word, looking at the Word, and doing the Word, He will hunt us down. The focus is the Word and obedience to the Word when we love the Lord. Doing the Word puts meat on the bone so to speak of our confession that we love the Lord. Dear saints of God it is long past time for us to get our game face on, get serious, and get this thing done. It will be by far the most fun and the most rewarding things of our lifetimes in the earth.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
