HEARKEN DILIGENTLY
Thursday – December 26, 2019, Kislev 28, 5780

Greetings dear and precious partners and friends of this Ministry and publication and welcome back to this powerful and empowering Bible Study. We hope that you all (y’all for those of you in Texas) had the most wonderful Christmas (celebration of the Christ) yet. We are now very near the end of the year and I want you all to know that we are thankful for your friendship and partnership. We encourage those of you who have been praying about partnership with this ministry to take the step of faith either in your yearend giving (must be postmarked no later than 31 Dec) or start fresh in 2020. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of this Ministry. The pictures this week have featured various beautiful Churches we saw during a recent trip to Groton Massachusetts.
We also want the faithful to this Ministry to pray about two things as we approach and come into the new year. First, we are in the planning stage of a new arm of the Eastern Gate Ministries International to be called Sabbatical Moments which is designed to reach out to and encourage Pastors and wives (or husbands) who are discouraged. Second, we are also in the planning stages of a Women’s Conference to be conducted in late spring to early summer in partnership with two other ministries. The theme of the Women’s Conference is to be “The Virtuous Woman”. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of John and read it aloud.
John 14:21-23 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
As you will recall I have been spending a very significant length of time discussing doing the commandments and love (agape). Jesus makes it very clear that we do not truly love (agape) Him if we do not do the commandments. The commandments are the commands given in the Word of God not just the Ten Commandments, although they are very important. It is not exclusive to the other 603 recorded in the Old Covenant either. We are to obey every Word, every command in all 66 Books of the Bible that are from the mouth of God directly or by His Anointed men and women. In the end, we are told that it all boils down to loving (agape) God and our neighbor.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
We are to value God and other people far above all things. Godly love, agape, obeys Scripture without question (we don’t have to understand everything), is not motivated by self-interest (selfless), and abides by Blood Covenant. Now, let’s jump back to Deuteronomy twenty-eight (please review the chapter or look back the last two days).
Deuteronomy 28:8-10 (KJV)
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
Notice that that troublesome word “if” has shown up again in verse nine. We have a choice; we were created with a freewill. Recall that in the first two verses of this chapter we were told that all of the blessings to follow were directly dependent upon us diligently listening, looking at, and doing ALL of the commandments. When we have done so He sits us high above the heathen so that like Daniel and others we are 10 times better at what we do, our skills (God given and Anointed). As we are diligent to do ALL that He commands all of the blessings (Blessing) will hunt us down and overtake us. But only as we are focused on hearing, reading, and doing ALL the commandments. This is all the commandments we know and have revelation of but we are not excused when we are not diligent. Is there anything in Deuteronomy 28:8-10 above that you do not want operating in your life? Is this operating in your life? If not, you now know (and so do I) without a doubt why? Let us put our childish ways away dear ones and be the sons of God that are needed in these last of days.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
