TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FIFTY-SIX
OH NO, MORE ABOUT MONEY
Saturday – February 15, 2020, Sh’vat 20, 5780

Greetings dear saints of God and welcome back to this study where we endeavor to separate the traditions of men, and the lies of the devil, from the pure Truth of God. As you will recall last week, we had launched into a study to show that being wealthy is not only the will of God but not to be wealthy is sin. Wealth of all kinds (physical) are tools to further the Kingdom of God, enrich our lives, and are a powerful testimony to the world. Our riches, if done by Godly means will come without toil but with excellence and diligence with our focus on God and His ways.
Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
The “blessing” here is the same as Genesis 1:28, an empowerment from God as we submit to Him fully. It is the same blessing that Jesus got back at Calvary, the Anointing, the Power of God (comes with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit). Get ready to duck, you religious devils, the word “rich” here is yes, earthly wealth. This word means to be rich, to become rich. It means to be or to become wealthy in money, possessions, or influence. Its simple meaning is to become rich according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. It is a mystery as to how this poverty teaching and mentality got into the Church. Jesus taught a lot about being wealthy and growing in riches and rule in the earth. Prolonged poverty is never of God, and never a good thing, period. God does not make us poor and will us to be poor to teach us something, it is the devil beating our brains out (he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy). There is no where in Scripture where we are told by God or Jesus that poverty is wonderful, or to be sought after. Let’s take a look at the account of the so called rich young ruler and what actually transpired there.
Mark 10:21 (KJV)
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
This man was very wealthy and came to Jesus asking what he must do to inherit eternal life. After a brief discussion we come to this statement from Jesus. This man’s focus was on money on His possessions. In order to follow Jesus, he needed to get his focus and reliance off the money which is temporal and on Jesus (the Word) which is eternal. He had a love of money.
1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV)
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
The word “love” in this verse has to do with friendship. Money as a primary goal is a part of the world system and friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). Remember, for us we work (employment or business) as a part of our ministry and the money flows from that service to God. Jesus did not ask the man to take a vow of poverty but to get his focus off money and to follow Him. It appears that Jesus is offering this man a place among the twelve. This led to the following statement by Jesus that is often used as an argument against being rich as is the former instruction to the rich young ruler.
Mark 10:24-27 (KJV)
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
On the surface it looks like everyone needs to sell any excess and have just enough and trust God every day for just enough to get by. Really? Where is that written? Notice in verse twenty-four Jesus is talking about people who trust in their riches as did the so called rich young ruler. At the point of salvation our trust must shift from the things of the world to God. The things that we accumulate in this world are tools for us to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17) and to be a testimony to the goodness of our God, and to enlarge the Kingdom. In the walled cities of that time, was a gate called the needle gate. In order for a camel laden with goods to enter the goods had to be taken off the camel. The camel would then need to kneel and come through the gate on its knees. The camel and the goods enter separately but they both enter. We must put the things we were relying upon when entering into salvation but then we can bring them into the Kingdom of God where they are tools for our use and that of the Master. Listen to what Jesus has to say next.
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Had the rich young ruler not left grieved for he loved riches and possessions he would have heard the best investment plan ever. Just think about this brother and sister. There may be times in our ministries (all of us) when it is not convenient, or perhaps we are away from our homes, spouses, and others longer then we like but God will give us a hundred-fold return “IN THIS TIME” plus eternal life. What a deal, let’s get on board with His plan! I will return to this next Saturday, hold on, it is all good.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
