TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FIFTY-TWO
BUT THAT WAS JESUS – PART ONE of THREE
Saturday – January 11, 2020, Tevet 14, 5780
Greetings my precious friends and partners and welcome back to this study where we rely upon the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, to show us what is tradition, lies, and Truth. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and to expand the reach of this ministry. Now let me warn you, some of you will be shouting hallelujah with this teaching and others will be wanting fire to rain out of Heaven upon me. We all must ask ourselves as we read, if it is true, how do we know it is true, and are there other truths that modify these Truths. If we approach this teaching willing to receive and believe the Scripture this will bring a freedom and liberation that perhaps we have not experienced before. If what we are doing, what we are believing is not working and we are not getting the results of Jesus and other miracle producing ministries perhaps we need to evaluate if what we believe is the Truth. Some of you may have already exclaimed, “but that was Jesus!” as if we are incapable of doing what He did.
There are some huge fundamental errors that have come into Christianity of all strips that have given a form of Godliness but is without power (Power of God). The idea that God is in control of everything is one and it is an abomination and devastating to the Church. Review last weeks teaching for further insight if you missed or avoided it last week. The other huge fundamental error that robs the Church of Power is the idea that Jesus operated as God in the earth during His earthly ministry. Jesus who was The Word before the womb of Mary transformed from deity to flesh.
John 1:14 (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Before coming into the womb of Mary The Word, the Lord of Hosts (and other names) was fully God, the second person of the Triune co-equal God (Elohim – Hebrew). He then divested Himself of the attributes of God for a season and became as a man. These attributes are omnipresence (simultaneously present in all places), omnipotence (all powerful), and omniscience (all knowing).
Philippians 2:7 (TLB)
7 but laid aside his mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men.
Like Adam, Jesus was born as a living soul, and as you know Jesus is called the last Adam. At salvation we also are once again living souls. Adam was subject to the law of sin and death but we are not (Romans 8:2) in Christ Jesus. It is a fundamental Truth that Jesus was a man, Anointed of God, in the earth otherwise it would be grossly unjust for Him to say that we are to do the thing He did and even greater things. We are not God (capital G) now nor will we ever be. We are however in the God class, of like kind (Genesis 1:26-28), we are gods [Psalm 82, John 10:35] with a lower-case g).
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
What about the following passage to us just before His ascension to the right hand of the Father?
Mark 16:15-20 (KJV)
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
We (those saved and filled with the Holy Spirit) like Jesus are anointed men (persons) in the earth fully capable of doing all that Jesus did and more. A very important key is to believe this Truth and do it exactly as He did it.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Let’s each of us put our names in the preceding verse in place of Jesus of Nazareth I would for example put David of Oakland Maine. Lord willing, I will continue next week with this teaching of “But That Was Jesus” and the Truth that He did all as an Anointed man, anointed with the same Anointing as have today, the Holy Spirit and Power.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
