TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FIFTY-FOUR
BUT THAT WAS JESUS – PART THREE OF THREE
Saturday – January 25, 2020, Tevet 28, 5780

Greetings my dear precious friends and partners and welcome back to part three of this powerful and course correcting study separating the traditions of man, the doctrines of devils from the Truth of God. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of the gospel. We all must do our parts to shine the light (anointed Word of God) not only into our own lives and our families but the lives of those in our sphere of influence. We are talking about Jesus operating as a man and not as God in the earthly ministry. We are commanded to do exactly what He did on a regular basis and even greater things than He did (John 14:12). To do the things that Jesus did and the greater things we must know ourselves and know our enemy. The devil is the father of lies, the father of deception and we see this starting right in the Garden of Eden. The Serpent (devil) got Adam and Eve to believe another gospel in the place of the Word, the Truth, of God. This is what the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils are, a deception that robs us of the Blessing.
What has preceded and what is to follow in this three-part series is not even close to exhaustive on the point that Jesus operated as a man, a man just like us, in the earth not as God. For example, consider this verse.
Luke 2:52 (KJV)
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
If Jesus (here as a twelve-year-old boy) was operating as God who is all wisdom would He have need to increase in wisdom? What about the following verse?
Hebrews 5:8 (KJV)
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
How much learning of obedience would God have to do? I am still talking about “But that was Jesus”. Getting, keeping, and doing the commandments (obedience), the Word of God and following the leadership of the Holy Spirit is key to operating like Jesus operated.
John 14:15 (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Although the word faith is not mentioned here there must be a measure of faith to move forward and do the commandments. Faith and love (agape) are inseparable. Faith cannot exist without love and love (agape) cannot exist without faith. Faith operates by love (Galatians 5:6). We must love God; He must be far above all others and certainly all things. His Word must be preeminent and we must choose it to rule our lives in order to do the things Jesus did and the greater things.
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
There was much manifestation of God in the life, the ministry, of Jesus and so should there be in our lives.
John 14:23 (KJV)
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The major reason we keep His Word is because we have faith in His Word. Our love for God, the Word, and our confidence (faith) in God, in His Word, brings us into the realm of doing the things Jesus did and the greater things. We must no more say “but that was Jesus” but say “Lord what must I do to do the things you did and the greater things”. Is that the yearning of our hearts or do we just want to do our own thing yielding continually to the flesh (lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and pride of life). We must choose to be led of the Spirit and not of the flesh.
It is imperative that we develop a close communion with the Lord, know His voice, recognize His Word, and by diligent study be able to rightly divide the Word of Truth. Our love of God is to do His commandments which is all of His Word. God expresses His love towards us in the same way, doing what He said His response would be to our obedience. This is spelled out in the Scripture above (John 14:21). What about the following Word?
Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV)
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
So, if we will listen, look at, and do His commandments He (the Lord) will set us high about the heathen (nations) in the earth. We see exactly the same thing above in John 14:21 and 23. Obedience brings the manifestation of God into our lives which is His expression of love (agape). Our keeping His Word is our love towards Him and His keeping His own Word is His love towards us. Our God is so good. The ball is always in our court, when we do our part, He is faithful to do His part. Jesus only said what He heard of the Father, only did what He saw the Father doing, and the Father did the works. Same deal for us today. How long will we be slack dear saints?
Mark 16:19-20 (KJV)
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
We speak the Words of God and He does the works; He confirms His Word. We do all by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. This is how Jesus did it and this is how we are to do it. I hope this teaching has ministered to each of us and helped us to come forward in faith. We must step up and do the things Jesus did and the greater things. We are not waiting on God; God is waiting on us to do the Word.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
