THE TRUE VINE
Monday – February 17, 2020, Sh’vat 22, 5780

Greetings to our dear friends and partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word blog. God is so good dear saints of God. Welcome back to this in depth, powerful, life changing Bible Study of the Book of John. If we are tired of what the devil is dishing out, let’s determine to study the Bible and do what we find written therein. This is the way of salvation, His salvation. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us encouraging feedback and to widen the net of this gospel. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud.
John 15:1-3 (KJV)
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
This fifteenth chapter of John starts off with Jesus telling those assembled and us today that there are many vines but He and He alone is “the true vine”. This is ONE TRUE vine and one true vine only! There are not many ways to God but one and it is by making Jesus the Christ, Lord. Deceivers, agents of Satan, will come but they are not the “true vine”.
Matthew 24:4-5 (KJV)
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
He repeatedly warns them and us. Others will come with attractive stories but there is only one way to eternal life, unending life as God knows life, and that is by the ONE Christ Jesus, period. These attractive stories or ways are attractive only to the flesh (carnal nature) and rebellious nature not the spirit and they are death not eternal life. We must perpetually be on guard against these deceptions by watching and praying.
Matthew 26:41 (KJV)
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
On the night that Jesus was betrayed He told His disciples how not to enter into temptation. The key was to watch and pray. To watch is to be vigilant for the tricks, the lies of the devil(s). To pray is to talk to God but most importantly to be submitted to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all the Truth and away from all deception. Let’s look at the idea of temptation for a moment. Many times, we look at this as being tempted to do something like take something that is not ours or enter into a forbidden relationship. However, what the devil wants us to do most of all is to get us to let go of our faith in God, what we believe about God and exchange it for a lie. That is what he did in the Garden of Eden and that is what he is doing in your life and my life right now. For example, we may read in Scripture and say I believe I am already healed by His strips (1 Peter 2:24). The devil comes along and says, “you liar” you’re not healed, you’re still sick”. Our response is “I am healed by faith in the Word of God calling those things that be not (in manifestation) as though they already exist just like my Heavenly Father. I don’t go by how I feel, what I hear apart from the Word of God, or what I see. I go by the Word of God!” Our spiritual enemies will tempt us to not to receive our healing or anything else we are believing for according to Covenant. He will often bring that temptation through other people including Christians. The following Scripture is the key to putting our faith to work and achieving the desired result.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
We must be exceedingly vigilant that we not let go of our faith and be devoured by the devil(s). Stay attached with unwavering faith to the “true vine”.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
There is only one way into the Kingdom of God and that is by the One Christ Jesus. There is only one other kingdom and that is the one of darkness, of the prince of this world, the prince of this present darkness, the end of which is eternal death and eternity in Hell. Does not sound really attractive to me.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Look, the Kingdom of God is wonderful and brings us into an abundant life. That does not mean there are not challenges, tests and trials (brought by the devil not God). Whether we suffer losses and defeats depends on how well we have mastered the armor of God, spiritual warfare. We must know ourselves, who we are in Christ Jesus, and who our enemies are and how they work. When we do this, we win every time hands down.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
