CLEAN THROUGH THE WORD
Monday – February 24, 2020, Sh’vat 29, 5780
Greetings to all our precious friends and partners, sons and daughters of the Most High God. Welcome back to this illuminating and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. Of course, it is only illuminating and empowering if we choose to hear, see, and implement these Anointed Words into our thoughts, words, and ways. Our God is so good and He is nothing but good! Now let’s prepare to dive into our lesson by first reading aloud our primary Bible text.
John 15:3-6 (KJV)
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
As you will recall we started this fifteenth chapter of John last week and Jesus is giving a physical example to illuminate a spiritual Truth. To listen to some one might get the idea that the physical and spiritual realms have absolutely nothing in common. The spiritual realm is the eternal realm and the current physical realm is a temporal realm. I say “the current physical realm is a temporal realm” because it is cursed. However, a new earth and a new heaven is coming (Revelation 21:1) that will be just as pure and stable (eternal) as the spiritual realm. All physical things, manifestations, have their origin in the spiritual realm. The original physical realm, this creation in which we live, is a copy or reflection of the spiritual realm. With the entrance of sin into mankind and with sin, the curse and death the physical realm including our physical bodies have been tragically impacted. In our text Jesus is using the illustration that He is the, not a, vine and that we are branches. A vine or tree by itself cannot produce fruit without branches nor can branches produce fruit independent of a vine or tree to nourish them.
Like natural food for the physical body, the Word of God (Bread of Life) is nourishment for our spiritual body. Our prosperity and the health of our physical body is directly related to the health, the strength of our spiritual body, or spirit man. The main determinate of that health is our soul man, which is the middle man between or physical body and spirit man.
3 John 1:2 (AMP)
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
Prospering in this verse has not just to do with an overflow of finances, but that our path, our journey be successful, and that we be successful in reaching our goal. Our being in health has not just to do with not being sick but being safe. And, what does the Apostle John connect by the unction of the Holy Spirit to this prosperity and health? He connects the state of our soul, the middle man, the place where we decide on the use of our time, what to keep, what to reject, and what to have faith in. We can choose to have faith in the Word or God or the words (lies) of the devil. What have we chosen? As we see in the following verses, the Truth, is directly connected to our wealth and our health in the Kingdom of God.
3 John 1:3-4 (KJV)
3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
As I have taught on many times in the past, the Truth is the Word, the Truth is Jesus, the Truth is the Holy Spirit, and the Truth is Love. When we boil it down, the Truth and the path to wealth and health in the Kingdom is walking in Truth which at its core is obedience to the Word of God. It is to value the Word of God far above all other words. The Word of God is a cleansing agent and is designed to displace the thoughts, words, and ways of the world (Satan) with the thoughts, words, and ways of our Father God.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
