SEVEN MOUNTAINS OR PILLARS – PART ONE

AUTHORITY IN THE EARTH BELONGS TO THE CHURCH

Greetings dear saints of God and others and welcome to these teachings on the Seven Mountains or Seven Pillars of society. These mountains or pillars are also referred to as gates. I think you will find this study informative and hopefully it will give insight and inspiration. The Word of God is far and away the best foundation of any society. I am not talking about a theocracy here in the earth but a form of government like ours which is a Democratic Republic but guided by the Word of God. A theocracy is when a deity is deemed the supreme ruler, authority, of the society. We see that in the “Old Testament” with Moses for example. You and I individually and as a Church are part of a theocracy. We are now a part of the Kingdom of God and will be forever more. Right in the name is the knowledge (Kingdom) that we are in a theocracy. For the present time in the earth with those worshipping God and those not, God has ordained a form of government that offers maximal freedom with order based on the principles of His Word. The seven pillars, mountains, or gates are as follows.

1. Media and Information Technology
2. Education, Science, Medicine
3. Business and Finance
4. Religion
5. Government
6. Arts, Entertainment, Sports
7. Family

As we prepare to dive into this material let’s put a couple of Scriptures in place as foundation for thought.

Proverbs 9:1 (KJV)

1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Here is where the idea of the seven pillars, also called mountains or gates, is rooted. I particularly want us to notice the pronoun “her”. The feminine gender means that increase of the same is possible, that whatever the leaven, holy or evil, is in the house, in the pillar it will eventually permeate the whole house, pillar. It will expand in that house or pillar and even spread to other houses and pillars. What are the foundational ideas of your house? Is the Word of God the highest authority at your house? What about your town, county, state, and nation. At it’s founding this nation, The United States was founded upon Judeo-Christian thought (which are Gods thoughts) straight from Scripture. What about now?

Now, let’s switch gears just a tad and plunge into the “Religion Pillar”. In obedience to God the Christian is supposed to rise to the top of the pillars in which God has called and gifted them for. They are to be gate keepers.  

Deuteronomy 28:13 (KJV)

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Do they tell you this at your Church? Many in the body of Christ declare that we are in a fierce battle, a war with demonic forces, but are we? Didn’t Jesus win the war stripping Satan entirely at Calvary? So, if we are not at war and the war is won and we are on the winning side what is our role? In our delegated authority of Jesus, we are to take possession of and occupy all that Satan occupies illegally today.

Luke 19:13 (KJV)

13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Absolute authority in the earth for those who submit to God started in the Garden of Eden. Man was given dominion, which is authority, which God backs, over all on the earth including evil spirits but not men. This dominion is a little more than just authority it has to do with causing a thing to take place at our word. Today our words backed by ministering spirits (angels) makes things happen including binding evil spirits. We do not bind men; we bind evil spirits.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Following the resurrection Jesus reaffirms this authority for those who worship (are fully submitted to) God.

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We walk in the same authority as Jesus, delegated authority, His power of attorney in the earth. Study the next verse and rejoice.

Luke 10:19 (KJV)

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The first use of the word “power” is authority, and the second use of the word “power” is ability. For the saint it would be wonder working power but not for demons. If we will walk in this fully persuaded in love, we can’t be touched.

TAKE HOME:

1. There are seven pillars of society, and their foundation is to be the Word of God.
2. Christians are to occupy these mountains (gates, pillars) being above and not beneath.
3. We have all authority on the earth over all except other persons and demons can by no means harm us.
