SEVEN MOUNTAINS OR PILLARS – PART TEN

PRAY FOR ALL IN AUTHORITY

Greetings dear saints, sons of God and all others joining. Welcome to this enlightening and inspiring study of the Seven Mountains also referred to as pillars or gates. Of the Seven Mountains, thus far we have discussed the Mountain of Religion, Media, Education, and Business. Today i will continue to focus on the “Government Mountain”. I also want to remind all of us to pray for each of the seven mountains, especially the mountains to which we are assigned and therefore have jurisdiction, and authority over. Let’s review once again how we might exercise our spiritual authority and how we are to pray. First let’s review the 1^st Timothy Scripture we discussed yesterday.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (KJV)

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

The United States is democratic republic not a monarchy therefore we choose men and women to have authority over us. We are to choose wisely and then we are to pray for them and even give thanks to God for them. Next, we come to our spiritual authority over the evil and good spiritual forces around us. The evil are demons and the good are holy angels.

Matthew 18:18 (KJV)

18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

It seems to me that we should ask God what He would have us allow and what He would have us to not allow. We don’t have all knowledge and without His help may be acting contrary to the will of God. We are not binding and loosing people but evil and good spirits. Remember the following two verses. First our authority, absolute, over evil spirits.

Luke 10:19 (KJV)

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Then our authority to loose holy angels, ministering spirits, to accomplish according to the will of God in our mouth.

Hebrews 1:14 (KJV)

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

This brings us to a prayer of intercession. There are people all around us who oppose themselves as we have in (hopefully) the past. We pray that they see the Truth, acknowledge the Truth, repent of the lie and recover themselves from the snare of the devils.

2 Timothy 2:24-26 (KJV)

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

I have taken up much of this study with prayer for those in authority, but it is so important. We may elect a righteous man to a position of authority but there are powerful evil forces in all the mountains that seek to corrupt. The main corruptors are power, money, and sex. We must pray that they keep their eye on what is right and bind the evil forces that will attack and attempt to deceive.

I will make every effort to move forward tomorrow into the three branches of government starting with the Judiciary.  

TAKE HOME:

1. We are to pray for “all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
2. We have absolute authority over demons; they can by no means hurt us.
3. We pray for those opposing themselves to see the Truth, acknowledge the Truth, and repent of the lies thereby recovering themselves from the snares of the demons.

As the Lord wills, I will return tomorrow with fresh revelation. The Lord bless and keep you and yours.  Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
