A WELL OF TRUTH
HEAVEN AND EARTH
Greetings precious children of the Most High God, the only living God, and welcome back to “A Well of Truth”. Please take a moment before we move forward to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing, you are a vital part of this Ministry, and a great blessing to us, to others, and to our Lord. Today I am going to address the question of born-again believers being present in more than one place simultaneously. I will be making an argument from Scripture and science that this is indeed a reality. It has long been established by scientist dealing with Quantum Physics or Mechanics that an electron (same one) can exist in two places, even distant places at once. They both react to stimuli in the same way even though the stimuli were presented in only one location. If you don’t believe it or reject it that’s okay no one is going to forfeit or gain salvation based on this point. Now, let’s turn our attention to the following passage, our primary passage.
Ephesians 2:3-7 (KJV)
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (Bold added)
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Is verse six figurative or a present reality for every believer? Just as Jesus was resurrected from the dead spirit and body so are we. The tense of the phrase “hath raised us up together” is aorist active. As I understand it “aorist active” is a tense independent of time, it is past, present, and future all at once. This would accommodate believers of all generations from the Resurrection of Christ until the final day. As we think about this, what part of us was resurrected in the same way and in the mind of God at the same time as Jesus. Our physical body is not simultaneously in Heaven and earth for it is corrupted and corruptible.
Romans 8:23 (KJV)
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
It is not our soul (mind, will, and emotions) for we have no awareness of Heaven. So, this leaves us with our spirit man which some call the real us. I believe we are a unified whole, spirit, soul, and body which is pending fulness on Resurrection Day. You say that our spirit man is the real us is like saying that the Holy Spirit is the real God. Of course not, the Father, and the Son are as much God as the Holy Spirit. Likewise, our body and soul are as much us as our spirit. Let’s take a look at another passage that demonstrates the reality of our being in Heaven and earth.
Hebrews 12:22-24 (KJV)
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, (Bold added)
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
This is not talking about those gone on before us but all of us present in the earth in Christ Jesus. The tense is present tense. Consider the following verse in KJV and YLT.
John 3:13 (KJV)
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. (Bold added)
John 3:13 (YLT)
13 and no one hath gone up to the heaven, except he who out of the heaven came down–the Son of Man who is in the heaven. (Bold added)
Consider the following verse.
John 1:18 (KJV)
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (Bold added)
If Jesus as a man in His Ministry on the earth was concurrently (simultaneously) present with the Father so, are we in Christ Jesus. One more verse, and as we read it let’s ask ourselves, where is the Father and where is the Son for we (our spirit) are in the same place.
John 17:21 (KJV)
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
I trust you have enjoyed this teaching which is a little bit of a mind twister but I believe represents the Truth, a present reality which only gets way better at the Resurrection. Because we have Heaven’s view we can come to know things other men do not know by our spirit, revelation knowledge.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
