A WELL OF TRUTH
WHY CALL YE ME, LORD, LORD
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God, the only way of Salvation by Christ Jesus, the only way to avoid Hell and gain entrance into Heaven, period. Welcome back to another teaching from A Well of Truth titled “Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord”? Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you expanding the reach of this Ministry. Thank you for sharing. You are a blessing to us and to the Lord. Now, let’s turn our attention to the first topic which is a memorial of 9/11.
Twenty-one years ago, today some of Satan’s people attacked this Covenant nation known as America, a Christian nation. We held open the door to Satan by our descent into debauchery (wickedness, corruption). I am not talking about the heathen; I am talking about the Church. On that awful day some 2996 people died. As terrible as that number is, it is a miracle, it was the mercy of God that many more did not die. We should never be so foolish as to think this was the first terrorist attack on this nation. Satan and his people have been attacking America from before there was an America, a United States of America. Research the Barbary Wars. Satan is the original terrorist and his activities against mankind which started in the Garden of Eden continues to this day, and will continue to the last day. How much success Satan enjoys quite simply depends upon the Church. We, the body of Christ, the Church have not taken the spiritual steps necessary to stop the spiritual acts of Satan which led to physical events. Let’s seriously meditate on the following lengthy passage focused on verse forty-six.
Luke 6:44-49 (KJV)
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
We must ask ourselves with all transparency and honesty as to what we, not God, and not the devils, are bringing forth in our individual lives and what is our house, our life, built upon? Before I pick up with the rest of our study for today, I want to return to something I teach about often and the Lord has very recently brought forward in my thinking. Let me start by asking a question. How would you like to go to a doctor who treated medical school like many treat Church? When will we, the Church, the body of Christ, those with the responsibility to do the works of Jesus and the greater works get about it? I came across the following statement recently; “Life has taught me that I am not always in control.” Is this true or a lie of Satan? Look back at the Luke 6 passage above. Who is choosing the fruit that comes forth in our lives? It is not God, it is not the demons, it is not other people, so who is it? It is you and me! Long story short, the Truth is that we are always in control. When it doesn’t look like we are in control it is because we didn’t exercise control. Joshua asked the children of Israel how long were they going to be slack.

3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
Can we imagine God is asking us the same question? I know the common religious dogma is that it is all up to God, we just have to trust God. I understand this is attractive for it relieves us of all responsibility and everything that happens must be the will of God, and somehow, He is working out things we don’t understand. That is pure hogwash. The Truth that God has given us authority in the earth and the Blessing (Power of God) to back it up is a ubiquitous theme of the Bible! It starts in the first chapter of the Book!
