ABIDING AND ASKING
Wednesday – March 4, 2020, Adar 8, 5780

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to this engaging and course correcting Bible Study of the Book of John. Our course is corrected only if we have ears to hear, that is we choose to not just hear but focus and allow the Holy Spirit to impart revelation knowledge of what is being said. Once we have received it, we choose to believe it, speak it, and walk in it by faith. The featured picture today is of a Texas sunrise. I took this picture one morning on my way to my medical office in San Antonio. Some of you may recognize this as 410 on the southside. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and to expand the reach of this Ministry. God is so good my friends. Now, let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study for today by first reading our primary text aloud.
John 15:5-8 (KJV)
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
As we examine verse seven of our primary Bible text let’s not miss the fact that we can abide (stay) in Him and His Words not abide (stay) in us. Who makes that choice? We do of course! This is not talking about the Word of God in us as information but as Anointed revelation. We can be saved (abiding in Him) but not allowing His Words to change our thoughts, our words, and our actions. This process (having, keeping, and doing the Word) changes our current circumstances and what we are able to do for the Kingdom of God. Our Father, our Jesus, is not willing that any perish, or suffer loss.
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Our Lord is not willing that we suffer lose, ruin or death in any area including physical at the hands of the thief. He paid not only the price of our ticket to Heaven but an abundant life here and now and in the life hereafter as well.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Stealing, killing, and destroying in our lives is never, I repeat, never God, it is always the thief (devil), the curse and brought about by our not purposing for His Word to stay, abide, in us. We do not just remember His Word like we might other information but we make it ours. Making it ours means that we think it, we talk it, we do it in faith motivated by love (agape), and led of the Holy Spirit. We are to do nothing apart from the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Jesus has a wonderful investment plan. When we invest in the Kingdom of God we will reap in this life and the one forever life to follow.
Mark 10:29-30 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Do we suppose that the preceding passage has to do with abiding in Him (the Word) and Him (the Word) abiding in us? Does it have to do with us thinking, speaking, and doing the Word of God as led of the Holy Spirit? Of course, it does! It is frustrating to see people cling to the natural way of doing things and miss out on the abundance of God. The bottom line is that they do not believe this passage and therefore they do not think this way, talk this way, or do this. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
