It is Tuesday, time to receive God’s Word once again and make it our word. We are in the Kingdom of God, Kingdom kids if you will, and we are to function by the Policy and Procedure Manual (Bible) of the Kingdom. How can we function in His image and likeness if we do not know what that might be? Be reminded to pray for the governments of these United States. Today I am highlighting Colorado, the 38th state admitted to the Union on August 1st 1876. This was during the presidency of our 19th President, Rutherford Hayes. Colorado is among the least religious states. In the “Most Religious” rankings Colorado is 38th by a Gallop poll and 41st by a Pew Research Center poll. Above you will find a picture of a map locating Colorado within the United States. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) We are a covenant nation, look at and listen to the preamble to the Constitution of the State of Colorado.
CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO
Preamble:
We, the people of Colorado, with profound reverence for the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, in order to form a more independent and perfect government; establish justice; insure tranquility; provide for the common defense; promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the “State of Colorado”. Now back to our primary Bible Study text.
Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV)
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Our diligent study of our salvation by faith and walking in Him by faith is causing us to become increasingly rooted and built up in Him, again by faith. As a part of this study we have been looking at a passage in Ephesians 2:4-8. Today we will deal with the latter part of that passage.
Ephesians 2:6-8 (KJV)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
The second chapter of Ephesians starts with a discussion of how we were spiritually dead, in darkness, and on our way to hell, without hope, BUT He in His great mercy has made us alive spiritually, and translated us into His Kingdom. When we were quickened (made spiritually alive) we were raised up and seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven in Christ Jesus. We are tempted to spiritualize the reality that we are seated with Him in Heaven even as you read this because we are generally only conscious of being here in the earth. We are right now, if we are born again, seated with Him, because of Him, on His Throne at the right hand of our Heavenly Father.
Romans 1:20 (NJB)
20 ever since the creation of the world, the invisible existence of God and his everlasting power have been clearly seen by the mind’s understanding of created things. And so these people have no excuse:
The things which are created are the things of the physical realm. The original Spirit breathed into man was God Himself and therefore not a created part of man. Since that man (Adam) to this day each person in their time is basically a reproduction of those who went before. In other words the potential for a new physical body was present in the physical body of our parents and when put in motion we were an amalgamation of our parents physically. Likewise the spirit man of our parents joined (like the sperm and ova) creating a new spirit. And thus we were. Okay, back to understanding the spiritual things by the physical or created world for they are mirror images of one another. Quantum physics has proven that a single electron can be in two places simultaneously. In our case Heaven and earth. In addition it has been established that not only can a single electron be in two places (physically) simultaneously but if conditions change for one location the other reacts appropriately. The meaning of this is that we can see things entirely from Heavens view and react appropriately or might we say in the perfect will of God. Nothing takes Heaven by surprise and neither should we be surprised or at any time overwhelmed by circumstances. In the ministry of Jesus in the earth, what took Him by surprise? Who are we to become like? JESUS!!!!!
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
