DIE IN SIN
Tuesday – March 19, 2019, Adar B 12, 5779

Greetings dear partners and friends of this ministry and who are diligent with the Word of God. Be reminded that if you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons so that the reach of this ministry is expanded. Remember, when all is said and done nothing will be more important than what each of us have done with the Word of God. Selah. By the way, we usually interpret this word ‘Selah’ as ‘think upon this’ which seems accurate. I looked it up on https://www.gotquestions.org/selah.html and found this “to measure or weigh in the balances.” This is part of being a good Berean. Let’s now turn our attention to this very important and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John reading the primary text aloud to get the words in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears.
John 8:20-23 (KJV)
20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
I guess you can see that Jesus is still stirring the pot so to speak. Let’s take a look at verse twenty-one and break it apart. Jesus tells them that there is a way He is going to go and they cannot come. He is speaking of going to Heaven and they are not coming. Why are they not coming to Heaven? They are in sin. When Jesus tells them, He is going “I go my way, and ye shall seek me” what is He talking about. It seems to me that He is telling them that the Messiah is standing right in front of them but because they have never come to know the Father, they don’t recognize Him. As a result, they will continue to seek after Him or look for the Messiah. There is only one way to Heaven and that is to believe upon the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. It has really always been the same, the Jews and others persons before Jesus came had to believe and act with corresponding action upon the Word of God. Jesus is the Word! Because they rejected the Word, the Messiah they would die in their sins and go to Hell. The same is as true today, if we reject the Word of God, Jesus as our Lord and Savior we too will die in our sins and go to Hell. Best I can tell there is absolutely no reason any sane person would choose Hell except by the delusions, and deceptions of the enemy (devils). In the beginning the choosing is done consciously and deliberately leading slowly over time to a progressive hardening of the heart. Listen to Jesus.
Matthew 6:21-24 (KJV)
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Whatever we treasure we will tend to get more and more of it. Think of this in terms of the Word of God. Is the Word of God our treasure and do we hunger day in and day out for more and actually strive with all that is within us to do what it says? Now, consider these together.
Matthew 13:12 (KJV)
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Perhaps the Amplified version will shed some light.
Matthew 13:12 (AMP)
12 For whoever has [spiritual knowledge], to him will more be given and he will be furnished richly so that he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Hopefully, this is starting to give some insight how a perverted gospel, an ear tickling gospel comes about. The common gospel preached in the Church today is easy, it does not require diligence, does not involve real faith only the proclamation of faith (absent works and results), there is not a good underpinning of love, and very little to no leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
