DON’T KNOW JESUS – DON’T KNOW THE FATHER
Wednesday – May 27, 2020, Sivan 4, 5780
Greetings to our dear and wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. It is an absolute honor and privilege to teach the Word of God. God is so good and He is nothing but good. As I heard a wonderful man of God say: God, our God, does not have a dark side. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to further the reach of this Ministry. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful pictures this week taken at Manson Park on the Sebasticook River in Pittsfield Maine. By the time you read this, those trees will be fully clothed with leaves. Tomorrow will be a special teaching on the Feast of Pentecost and I will pick up with the Book of John on Monday, June 1st 2020. The year seems to be racing by, are we redeeming the time? Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, that is out loud so you can hear it. Faith comes by hearing.
John 16:1-4 (KJV)
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
Jesus is in the final hours of His earthly ministry; He will soon be on the Cross taking the penalty of our sin there and in Hell. But soon after He will be leading the Old Testament saints who have been captive in the Bosom of Abraham home to Heaven (in resurrection bodies). His sacrifice, the payment of the penalty of sin, the resurrection with His precious Blood taken to the Mercy Seat of Heaven also redeemed us from the curse, and we can choose condemnation or the liberty of the Kingdom of God, the return to the original intent of God, and a return to the family of God. On this side of salvation, it seems inconceivable that anyone would reject the gift of salvation and all the wonderful things that means. However, millions, billions, have and are even this day living in the midst of the curse in the earth or are screaming in Hell. Unfortunately, much of the Church is also living in varying degrees of the curse thinking it is the will of God and somehow brings glory to Him (blasphemous suffering theology).
Jesus tells the disciples and us plainly that all that He is saying is to prevent offense or perhaps more accurately, how to deal with the offenses that are guaranteed to come. Jesus is educating them and us. Why don’t we see our Bible study/reading/prayer time and our Church time as school? The pastor at Church will not be giving a quiz on last weeks sermon at Church but you can rest assured the devil is checking. What is the devil finding? Most cannot tell you what the sermon was about on the way to the car after service. This is pathetic. We, all of us, need to have the highest regard for the Word of God. We need to see the Word of God as the final authority concerning everything in our lives. These things are very important because the devils will see to it that all of us have many opportunities to be offended every day. Every day! We must train ourselves to recognize these opportunities. This comes by examining, on purpose, our thoughts, words (preferably before they come out our mouths), and actions (including body language and facial expressions).
Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
So, when our thoughts are not of this nature the following Scripture tells us what to do with untrue, dishonest, unjust thoughts and so on.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV)
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
As we wind down for today, we hear Jesus saying that they will do the same things to us they did to Him because they did not know Him and they do not know the Father. Let us be like Jesus and only say what the Father says, do what the Father does, and have faith that the Father will do the works. We are to go where we are led of the Holy Spirit not where we think there is a need. And, when or if we are not received and taken care of well, we are to shake the dust of the place from our feet taking back our peace leaving only the curse.
Mark 6:11 (KJV)
11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Let us sow where the seed (Word of God) is received and cherished, no longer laboring in vain.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
